The Classics Moneta collection has swiftly established itself as the new benchmark of Frederique Constant’s offering. The Manufacture has chosen to give the collection a new mechanical, vintage-inspired charm. The new Classics Moneta Handwinding introduces a 38.5 mm case and is powered by a hand-wound movement developed by La Joux-Perret, delivering an impressive 63-hour power reserve. Its smoked salmon gradient dial is paired with a vintage-style alligator leather strap featuring a small-scale pattern, creating an elegant and distinctly neo-retro aesthetic. Produced in a limited edition of just 999 pieces, this new model is available for under €2,000.
The Classics Moneta: A Distinctive Case Design
No one can predict what will make a collection successful. Yet one thing is certain: since its launch in 2024, the Classics Moneta has made a striking impression. Its greatest strength lies in the geometry of its case. A watch case is typically distinguished by its shape or finishing. Here, the secret lies in the inner rehaut, whose profile is subtly sculpted with fluting reminiscent of the edge of a coin – the detail that inspired its name. The aesthetic is both familiar and distinctive, showcasing a traditional hallmark of fine watchmaking in an unexpected location on the case, creating a striking sense of originality.
The same balance defines this first mechanical edition, limited to just 999 pieces: a carefully judged harmony between the finest elements of contemporary watchmaking and the inspiration of the great classics of the last century.
The First Mechanical Movement
The first notable development is the introduction of the collection’s first mechanical movement. Produced by La Joux-Perret in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, and customised exclusively for Frederique Constant, it is a finely crafted hand-wound calibre. As La Joux-Perret and Frédérique Constant are both part of the Citizen Group, it can truly be considered an in-group movement.
Côtes de Genève Decoration and 63-Hour Power Reserve
Visible through the sapphire case back, the movement is adorned with Côtes de Genève decoration, a fitting tribute to Frederique Constant’s Genevan heritage. At its centre is the coat of arms that the brand has proudly displayed since 1988. On the opposite side of the movement sits the escapement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) to ensure excellent chronometric stability. At the other end, part of the generously sized barrel is visible, providing the new Moneta with an impressive 63-hour power reserve. The choice of a hand-wound calibre not only allows its finishing to be fully appreciated, unobstructed by an oscillating weight, but also helps preserve the watch’s slim profile and neo-retro character, remaining true to the charm of the 1950s.
A Vintage-Inspired Smoked Salmon Dial
Among the watch’s vintage-inspired features, the new dial stands out most prominently. It showcases a subtle smoked salmon gradient, transitioning to deep black around the edges. This darker outer ring allows the applied, mirror-polished hour markers to stand out more clearly, ensuring excellent legibility. In keeping with its distinctly neo-retro character, the Moneta features two central dauphine hands, complemented by a small seconds display at 6 o’clock. Together, they follow the classic design codes of 1950s watchmaking, combining simplicity with timeless vintage elegance.
A Vintage-Style Alligator Leather Strap
Finally, Frederique Constant has taken this aesthetic exercise to its conclusion with a new black alligator leather strap featuring small-scale patterning, offering both superior suppleness and a patinated look. The result is a well-balanced composition that gives contemporary watchmaking a piece imbued with a delightfully vintage refinement and strong added value.
The Ref. 5270 has long stood among the finest perpetual calendar chronographs ever produced by Patek Philippe. Now, with the introduction of the 5270P-016, the manufacture expands the family into a trio of striking platinum references, each sharing the same exceptional mechanics while expressing a unique character through colour.
At their core, the 5270P-015, 5270P-016, and 5270P-017 are identical masterpieces. Each is housed in a platinum case featuring the signature concave bezel and elegant two-tier lugs. Each is powered by the manually wound CH 29-535 PS Q calibre, combining a traditional column-wheel chronograph with a perpetual calendar enhanced by six patented chronograph innovations. And each retains the beautifully balanced dial layout that has become synonymous with the Ref. 5270.
Where they differ is in personality.
5270P-015: Understated Sophistication
The 5270P-015 pairs its platinum case with a sunburst charcoal grey lacquered dial that fades into a black-gradient rim. Combined with a black composite strap featuring cream-coloured stitching, it delivers the most understated and versatile expression of the collection.
The monochromatic palette gives the watch a contemporary, almost architectural presence, appealing to collectors who appreciate quiet elegance over visual drama.
5270P-016: The Modern Classic
The newly introduced 5270P-016 brings a vibrant blue lacquered dial into the collection, again framed by a subtle black-gradient edge. Blue stitching on the textured black composite strap perfectly complements the dial, creating a harmonious balance between sportiness and refinement.
Blue has become one of modern watchmaking’s most sought-after dial colours, yet Patek Philippe approaches it with remarkable restraint. The result is a watch that feels contemporary without chasing trends, allowing the legendary perpetual calendar chronograph to remain the true focal point.
5270P-017: A Bold Statement
For collectors seeking something more expressive, the 5270P-017 introduces a rich red lacquered dial with the same black-gradient finish. Paired with matching red stitching on the composite strap, it is undoubtedly the most daring interpretation of the trio.
While bold in appearance, the carefully executed lacquer finish and balanced dial architecture ensure that the watch remains unmistakably Patek Philippe, blending confidence with timeless elegance.
One Legendary Movement, Three Different Expressions
Across all three references, the familiar perpetual calendar display remains perfectly organised. The day and month appear through twin in-line apertures at 12 o’clock, while the date and moon phases occupy the display at 6 o’clock. White gold dauphine hands and a crisp white tachymeter scale ensure exceptional legibility against each dial colour.
Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the manually wound CH 29-535 PS Q calibre continues to showcase the artistry of traditional Swiss watchmaking through impeccable hand-finishing, refined decoration, and sophisticated engineering.
The EyesOnTime Perspective
With the 5270P-015, 5270P-016, and 5270P-017, Patek Philippe demonstrates how colour can transform the identity of an already iconic watch without altering its mechanical soul.
Whether one prefers the understated elegance of charcoal grey, the timeless appeal of blue, or the bold confidence of red, each reference celebrates the same enduring philosophy: exceptional complications, uncompromising craftsmanship, and design that transcends generations.
Rather than replacing one another, these three platinum references offer collectors three distinct interpretations of one of modern haute horlogerie’s greatest creations.
Luxury watchmaking often celebrates either technical innovation or artistic beauty. With the new ZENITH DEFY Extreme Lapis Lazuli II, the Swiss manufacture proves that the two can coexist beautifully.
Limited to just 25 pieces worldwide, this latest edition of the DEFY Extreme brings together one of the most advanced mechanical chronograph movements in production with one of nature’s most captivating gemstones. The result is a watch that feels equally at home in a collector’s showcase or on the wrist of someone who appreciates cutting-edge engineering.
A Study in Contrasts
At first glance, the DEFY Extreme Lapis Lazuli II is impossible to ignore.
Its bold 45mm case combines forged carbon with titanium, creating a lightweight yet incredibly robust construction. Unlike polished metals that reflect light, the matte texture of forged carbon absorbs it, giving the watch a stealth-like presence that perfectly suits the aggressive architecture of the DEFY collection.
Against this dark backdrop, the lapis lazuli chronograph counters become the undeniable focal point.
Every slice of lapis lazuli is naturally unique, with tiny pyrite inclusions shimmering like stars across a deep blue sky. No two watches will ever display exactly the same pattern, making each piece subtly individual.
Powered by the Legendary El Primero 9004
Beneath the openworked dial sits one of ZENITH’s most impressive achievements: the El Primero 9004.
The movement features two completely independent escapements, each designed for a specific purpose.
One escapement beats at 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour) to keep precise time, while the second operates at an extraordinary 50 Hz (360,000 vibrations per hour) exclusively for the chronograph.
This innovative architecture enables the central chronograph hand to complete one full rotation every second, allowing elapsed time to be measured with remarkable precision to 1/100th of a second.
It’s a mechanical spectacle that remains one of the defining features of the DEFY Extreme collection.
Built for Performance, Designed for Everyday Wear
While the movement is undeniably technical, the DEFY Extreme Lapis Lazuli II has also been designed with versatility in mind.
The watch is supplied with a black rubber strap featuring a folding clasp, alongside a black high-performance Velcro strap. Thanks to ZENITH’s integrated quick-change strap system, switching between the two requires no tools, making it easy to adapt the watch for different occasions.
The carbon and titanium construction also keeps the substantial 45mm case surprisingly lightweight, while its 20 ATM water resistance ensures it’s ready for active everyday use.
A Collector’s Edition
The DEFY Extreme Lapis Lazuli II isn’t simply another colour variation.
By pairing forged carbon, titanium and natural lapis lazuli with one of the world’s most technically advanced mechanical chronographs, ZENITH has created a watch that celebrates both innovation and individuality.
With only 25 examples available worldwide, this is a timepiece destined for collectors who appreciate rare materials, exceptional engineering and distinctive design.

When Tudor introduced the Black Bay Ceramic in 2021, it marked a major milestone for the brand. It was the first Tudor to achieve METAS Master Chronometer certification, bringing a new level of technical credibility to the Black Bay collection while introducing a stealth-inspired all-black ceramic aesthetic.
Now, Tudor has refined that concept further with the latest Black Bay Ceramic, a watch that retains its high-performance credentials while introducing one of the most significant design upgrades yet: a full ceramic bracelet.
The result is a watch that feels more cohesive, more technical, and more purpose-built than ever before.
Ceramic Beyond the Case
The Black Bay Ceramic is housed in a 41mm matte black ceramic case that combines contemporary styling with exceptional durability. Ceramic remains one of the most desirable materials in modern sports watchmaking due to its resistance to scratches and its ability to retain its appearance over years of wear.
The case measures 13.6mm thick and is fitted with a domed sapphire crystal. Tudor pairs the ceramic middle case with a black PVD-treated steel screw-down crown and a black PVD-treated steel unidirectional rotating bezel fitted with a black ceramic insert.
Water resistance remains rated to 200 metres, preserving the robust dive-watch capability that defines the Black Bay collection.
The Full Ceramic Bracelet
The defining feature of this latest Black Bay Ceramic is its full ceramic bracelet.
While ceramic cases have become increasingly common across the industry, ceramic bracelets remain considerably more difficult to engineer due to their complexity and manufacturing tolerances. Tudor’s execution creates a seamless extension of the matte black case, giving the watch a striking monochromatic appearance.
A particularly impressive detail is the bracelet’s concealed side-profile construction, which creates a cleaner visual flow across the links while maintaining practical serviceability through screw-fixed components.
The bracelet is secured by a clasp incorporating steel blades, combining durability with long-term structural integrity.
A Charcoal Dial with Subtle Depth
Despite its stealth-focused appearance, the dial offers more nuance than first impressions suggest.
The domed dial features a charcoal sunray finish that interacts dynamically with light, adding depth and texture to the otherwise monochromatic design. Applied hour markers and Tudor’s signature Snowflake hands are filled with Grade A Swiss Super-LumiNova, ensuring strong low-light legibility.
The Snowflake handset remains one of the most recognisable design signatures within Tudor’s modern catalogue, directly linking the watch to the brand’s historic dive-watch heritage.
The overall execution balances functionality with restraint, avoiding unnecessary colour while maintaining excellent readability.
Master Chronometer Certified Performance
Powering the Black Bay Ceramic is the Manufacture Calibre MT5602-U, an automatic movement developed to meet some of the industry’s most demanding performance standards.
The movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, an independent certification that evaluates the fully assembled watch under real-world operating conditions. Testing covers precision, water resistance, power reserve and resistance to magnetic fields.
Key specifications include:
METAS Master Chronometer certification
Resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss
Approximately 70-hour power reserve
COSC-certified chronometer performance
Silicon balance spring
Variable-inertia balance wheel secured beneath a traversing bridge
Bidirectional automatic winding system
This combination of precision, durability and anti-magnetic performance places the Black Bay Ceramic among the most technically capable watches in its category.
Modern Materials, Traditional Tool-Watch DNA
The Black Bay Ceramic succeeds because it does more than simply apply ceramic to an existing design.
The addition of a full ceramic bracelet transforms the watch’s character, creating a more complete and cohesive interpretation of Tudor’s modern tool-watch philosophy. Combined with Master Chronometer certification, strong anti-magnetic protection and the proven MT5602-U movement, the watch delivers substance alongside its distinctive appearance.
In a market increasingly crowded with ceramic sports watches, the Black Bay Ceramic stands out by offering advanced materials, certified performance and thoughtful engineering within a package that remains true to Tudor’s practical watchmaking ethos.

Cartier Didn’t Reinvent the Baignoire. They Refined It Perfectly.
In a time where many watches compete for attention through size and excess, Cartier chose restraint.
And that’s exactly why the new Baignoire Clou de Paris stands out.
The iconic oval silhouette remains untouched, but the addition of the Clou de Paris motif completely changes the watch’s presence. It gives the Baignoire texture, depth, and a sharper jewellery identity while preserving the elegance that has defined it since 1958.
Why This Watch Matters
Cartier Strengthened an Icon Instead of Changing It
The Baignoire has always been one of Cartier’s purest expressions of jewellery watchmaking. Rather than redesigning the case, Cartier focused on elevating what already made it timeless.
That decision makes this release feel confident and mature.
The Clou de Paris Motif Gives the Watch Real Character
The bracelet, case, and dial are entirely finished with the Clou de Paris pattern — a geometric texture deeply rooted in Cartier’s jewellery heritage.
It transforms the watch from minimal to sculptural without losing refinement.
The Craftsmanship Is in the Details
Applying this motif onto an oval-shaped watch required Cartier to carefully reshape the pattern around every curve and surface.
Even the clasp integrates seamlessly into the bracelet, creating a clean uninterrupted flow across the entire piece.
The Finishing Brings the Watch to Life
The hand-polishing process enhances the relief of the motif while allowing the gold to reflect light with softness and precision.
Nothing feels aggressive or overworked. The watch carries quiet presence — which is far more difficult to achieve.
The Diamond Version Feels Like True High Jewellery
Cartier’s diamond-set edition features 171 brilliant-cut diamonds on the case and bracelet, alongside 100 diamonds on the dial.
What makes it impressive is that the diamonds never overpower the design. They work with the geometry of the Clou de Paris motif rather than against it.
Final Thought
The new Baignoire Clou de Paris proves that great luxury design is not about adding more.
It’s about refining proportions, texture, and detail so precisely that the watch feels effortless.
And Cartier continues to do that better than almost anyone else.
Jaquet Droz unveils a unique piece in which watchmaking artistry becomes breath, colour and poetry. Between heritage and contemporary audacity, the Maison elevates an iconic motif into a true artistic statement, venturing for the first time into the territory of Inflatable Art, where form acquires a sense of volume animated by lightness. An art watch conceived as a showcase for emotion, marking the return of Jaquet Droz’s iconic birds, destined to reinvent themselves in other decorations.
One look is all it takes to change the mood. On the dial, two blue tits with generous, almost buoyant forms, seemingly puffed up with joy, nestle in the heart of a miniature garden. Around them, softly rounded blossoms burst forth in delicate hues while, in the background, the mineral silhouette of the Great Wall of China stretches across the horizon. With the Joyful Birds “Great Wall”, Jaquet Droz unveils a new, joyful and vibrant art watch, like a smile suspended on the wrist.
Born of a co-creation with a collector, the piece places a bespoke timepiece within an emblematic Chinese setting, evoking a universal symbol of happiness. Jaquet Droz has thus chosen to revive its birds, an enduring and historic signature of the Maison. A subtle nod to the birds that once animated the automata of Pierre Jaquet-Droz during the Age of Enlightenment, these two blue tits now serve as a bridge between heritage and a resolutely contemporary vision of watchmaking artistry.
For with this creation, Jaquet Droz ventures into a hitherto unexplored artistic territory: an aesthetic drawn directly from Inflatable Art, where forms swell with volume, soften into rounded contours and embrace an almost playful dimension. The birds and flowers seem shaped from colour itself, as if the material had been gently inflated to take on a sculptural form. The effect is instant: the dial gains depth, presence and a sense of vitality. It conveys more than just a scene: it breathes life into an entire universe.
This artistic approach opens up an entirely new path: a form of artistic watchmaking that exudes effortless lightness, where apparent simplicity conceals deep sophistication. Assembling the scene requires a delicate balance between depth and finesse to preserve the dial’s readability, while the miniature painting, executed with absolute precision, sculpts shadows and highlights to bring the forms to life. Finally, the colouring demands infinite patience in the face of countless trials and adjustments, until joy is captured perfectly within the 41-mm 18-karat red gold case. On the reverse, the oscillating weight is adorned with a mother-of-pearl applique, like a hidden gleam.
Joyful Birds “Great Wall” is not merely a unique piece: it heralds the beginning of a creative promise. Jaquet Droz’s historic birds rest here as a timeless signature, destined to appear across myriad landscapes, where heritage serves as a starting point and poetry becomes a form of freedom.
Some watch designs tell time. Others become part of fashion history.
The Bvlgari Serpenti Tubogas and Bulgari Tubogas creations belong firmly in the latter category. With the Gold & Steel universe, Bvlgari revisits one of its most iconic design signatures — blending precious yellow gold with industrial steel in a way only the Roman maison can.
The result is bold, fluid, sensual, and unmistakably Bulgari.
The Story Behind Tubogas
Tubogas is one of Bulgari’s most recognizable design techniques, inspired by the flexible gas pipes used in industrial and architectural engineering during the early 20th century.
What makes the construction remarkable is its seamless coil-like structure. The bracelet wraps around the wrist with extraordinary flexibility and comfort, achieved without traditional soldering techniques.
Over time, Tubogas evolved from an industrial inspiration into a defining Bulgari aesthetic — transforming rigid metal into something fluid, sculptural, and almost alive.
Today, it remains one of the strongest expressions of the maison’s ability to merge jewellery craftsmanship with watchmaking design.
Gold & Steel: A Perfect Tubogas Combination
The Gold & Steel executions elevate the Tubogas concept even further.
By combining polished stainless steel with warm yellow gold, Bulgari creates dramatic contrast across the flowing coils of the bracelet. The alternating metals amplify the architectural curves while adding depth, texture, and visual rhythm to the design.
The beauty of Tubogas lies in this tension:
Industrial yet luxurious
Bold yet elegant
Vintage-inspired yet thoroughly modern
Rather than feeling like a traditional two-tone watch, the Gold & Steel Tubogas pieces feel like wearable sculpture.
The steel gives the watch everyday versatility and contemporary edge, while gold introduces richness and unmistakable Roman glamour.
The Serpenti Tubogas Identity
Few watches are as instantly recognizable as the Serpenti Tubogas.
Inspired by the serpent — a long-standing symbol of transformation and seduction — the watch coils naturally around the wrist like a living form. The Tubogas bracelet enhances this fluidity, creating an almost organic presence despite the precision of its metal construction.
In Gold & Steel versions, the contrast between polished gold and steel gives the serpent-inspired silhouette even greater presence.
It is jewellery.
It is watchmaking.
It is fashion.
And it remains one of the most iconic creations in modern luxury design.
Why Tubogas Still Feels Contemporary
Many heritage watch designs struggle to remain relevant decades later. Tubogas does the opposite.
Its sculptural form feels perfectly aligned with today’s luxury landscape, where collectors increasingly appreciate strong design identity over traditional conservatism.
The Gold & Steel aesthetic also makes the watch more versatile:
Easier to style daily than full gold
More elevated than pure steel
Distinctive without being excessive
This balance is precisely why mixed-metal luxury watches continue gaining popularity among modern collectors.
But Bvlgari’s interpretation feels different because Tubogas was never designed to follow trends. It was created to challenge conventions from the beginning.
Every curve of the bracelet reflects movement.
Every polished surface catches light differently.
Every coil reinforces the watch’s sculptural identity.
The Gold & Steel Tubogas creations are not minimalist watches designed to disappear.
They are designed to be seen.
And decades after their debut, they remain among the boldest expressions of jewellery-watchmaking ever created.
Vacheron Constantin Égérie Moon Phase Spring Blossom: A Poetic Celebration of Haute Couture and Horology
Swiss luxury watchmaker Vacheron Constantin has unveiled the Égérie Moon Phase Spring Blossom, a limited edition timepiece that captures the fleeting beauty of springtime blossoms through artisanal craftsmanship and refined watchmaking. Limited to just 100 pieces worldwide, the new creation combines Haute Horlogerie with the poetic codes of Haute Couture.
Presented in a 37mm 18K 5N pink gold case, the Égérie Moon Phase Spring Blossom features a luminous pink mother-of-pearl dial paired with a hand-painted calfskin strap adorned with delicate floral motifs. The Maison describes this as the first time miniature painting has been applied directly to a watch strap in this manner.
Inspired by the Poetry of Spring
The latest addition to the Égérie collection draws inspiration from the soft pink and white blossoms that define springtime landscapes. The watch embraces an entirely pink palette, with tonal variations enhancing its romantic and feminine aesthetic.
Its moon phase display sits between 1 and 3 o’clock within a diamond-set circular aperture aligned with the winding crown, itself set with a moonstone. Gold moons emerge from mother-of-pearl clouds against a dusky pink sky, adding depth and visual poetry to the composition.
Each piece in the limited edition is subtly unique due to the natural variations of mother-of-pearl and the hand-painted artistry of the strap.
Haute Couture Meets Haute Horlogerie
Since its launch in 2020, the Égérie collection has drawn heavily from the world of Haute Couture, translating textile-inspired details into horological design. Pleated textures on the dial evoke the movement of fabric, while the asymmetrical display and intertwined circles reflect the elegance of couture tailoring.
The Spring Blossom edition deepens this connection through its interchangeable strap system. Alongside the hand-painted calfskin strap, the watch is delivered with two additional options: a shiny raspberry-pink alligator strap and a blush-pink grosgrain fabric strap, each fitted with its own pink gold buckle.
Vacheron Constantin’s Product & Innovation Director, Sandrine Donguy, explained that the project was conceived as a fusion of traditional decorative crafts and modern experimentation. By applying miniature painting to the strap rather than the dial or case, the Maison sought to evolve métiers d’art in new directions while preserving artisanal know-how.
A Floral Legacy Spanning More Than Two Centuries
Flowers have long played a role in Vacheron Constantin’s design language. The Maison traces this botanical inspiration back over 200 years, referencing historical pocket watches and pendant watches embellished with floral engravings, enamel work, pearls, and precious stones.
The influence of Art Nouveau during the early 20th century also played a role in shaping these creations, with organic forms and floral motifs transforming timepieces into wearable works of art.

Breitling introduces two new perpetual-calendar chronographs that represent the Navitimer at its highest expression. The Navitimer B19 duo is inspired by the extreme altitudes the iconic pilot’s chronograph has mastered.
For over 70 years, the Navitimer has taken on many roles, from essential pilots’ tool to cultural icon. This year, Navitimer Stories will bring these chapters to light across aviation, lifestyle, and technical savoir faire, showing why this remarkable timepiece remains as relevant today as ever. Created in 1952 for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the Navitimer united a chronograph with Breitling’s patented circular slide rule, allowing aviators to perform flight calculations directly from their wrist. The quintessential pilots’ watch, it soon proved itself across every altitude—worn by supersonic pilots at the edge of space and by astronauts from the earliest days of human spaceflight.
Now presented in its highest expression of complexity and materials, Breitling introduces the Navitimer B19 as two exceptional timepieces powered by the brand’s manufacture B19 perpetual-calendar chronograph movement. Rendered in steel and platinum or full platinum and finished in altitude inspired colorways, they celebrate the vertical journey of Breitling’s icon.
“At Breitling, we have always pushed limits, not only through our iconic designs, but also by engineering exceptional movements that power our watches.” says Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling. “The Navitimer B19 delivers on both sides.”
A CENTURY IN MOTION: THE CALIBER B19
At the heart of this high-altitude duo is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B19, first introduced in 2024 to mark the brand’s 140th anniversary. It represents a major technical milestone, combining Breitling’s chronograph exper tise with a true perpetual calendar, one that automatically accounts for leap years and varying month lengths, and will not require a major manual correction for a century. The moonphase adds a final celestial link, reinforcing the Navitimer’s original purpose as an instrument made for the sky.
Technically, the Navitimer B19 has set a new benchmark for Breitling, a feat that earned it a 2025 Temporis Award. It is an automatic perpetual calendar chronograph with a 96-hour power reserve. A one-step correction system via the crown allows all calendar indications to be advanced together, while two discreet dimple-style pushers at 8 and 10 o’clock enable individual adjustments. Winding is handled by a solid 18k red-gold rotor, visible through the sapphire caseback, and the movement is COSC-certified as a chronometer for unwavering precision.
It is, quite simply, the most advanced movement ever housed in a Navitimer and currently the only core-catalog automatic perpetual-calendar chronograph on the market.
ALTITUDE AS COLOR, MATERIAL, AND MOOD
The timepieces translate the Navitimer’s story in the air universe into two powerful, tangible expressions. Each model channels a different altitude. A 75-piece limited edition in full platinum features a deep blue lacquered dial inspired by the stratosphere at high cruising altitudes, where the atmosphere thins, the sky deepens, and the Earth’s curvature becomes visible. The full platinum case is paired with a black outer slide rule and a contrasting white inner scale, drawing the eye toward the dial’s celestial center. It is fitted
with a matching navy-blue alligator strap with a folding clasp.
The second execution, in stainless steel with a platinum bezel, is defined by its anthracite dial, reflecting the stillness and depth of space. It features the same high-contrast slide rule configuration and refined dial architecture and is delivered on a brown alligator strap or seven-row steel bracelet, underscoring its dramatic, cosmic tone.
Both models share a series of refined design signatures. Their dials provide depth and sheen, while raised metal rings around the subdials introduce a new three-dimensional architecture.
The moonphase disc at 12 o’clock draws the eye with its detail, and each case is finished with Breitling’s signature knurled bezel. Each dial becomes a miniature universe: technical, celestial, and instantly recognizable as a Navitimer.
AN ICON, STILL IN FLIGHT
The Navitimer was born from professional demand. With its signature slide rule, it became an essential cockpit tool during the golden age of civil aviation. Over time, its distinctive look moved beyond the flight deck, appearing on the wrists of figures as varied as Miles Davis, Serge Gainsbourg, and Formula 1 legends Graham Hill and Jim Clark, and even into space with astronaut Scott Carpenter, while remaining faithful to its original form.
With this pair of exceptional watches, Breitling unites heritage, high complication, and modern design in a way only the Navitimer can. They are shaped by civil aviation, inspired by the skies above, and engineered to measure time for generations.
In August 2024 Frederique Constant unveiled its Classics Moneta Moonphase, a timepiece on which the traditional fluted bezel motif was moved to the flange, giving the case the appearance of a coin – hence the ‘Moneta’ moniker. Now the Geneva-based manufacture has added further style flourishes, giving two of the original models with blue or silver dials a new look that takes them into a whole other aesthetic dimension.
For the first variation, Frederique Constant has opted for a PVD case done out in yellow gold with matching hands and hour markers – a classic prestige livery. For the first time ever, the second timepiece features a Milanese mesh bracelet, beautifully offsetting the steel colour of the case, externals and Moon display at six o’clock and resulting in a more vintage look. Both watches retain the 37-millimetre diameter case and are powered by a quartz movement that makes the Classics Moneta Moonphase that bit more affordable – and desirable.
One of Frederique Constant’s most foundational style principles is timelessness, characterised by a vintage look coupled with discreet modernity – and both new variations of the Classics Moneta Moonphase take the expression of that principle to new heights. Are they vintage, contemporary, urban, Sixties, or Seventies? At the end of the day the answer is very much in the eye of the beholder; the one thing that’s not up for debate is the thoroughly horological nature of the two timepieces.
In the best traditions of fine watchmaking, the dials sport a meticulous sunray finish, softly diffusing light towards the twelve applique hour markers above which hand-polished dauphine hands glide effortlessly. The decision not to include a seconds hand blurs the boundary between quartz and mechanical movements: at first glance, it’s impossible to tell which powers the Classics Moneta Moonphase. The calm, peaceful atmosphere exuded by the dial is further highlighted by the moonphase at six o’clock. Earth’s closest neighbour cycles through its phases in 27 days, 7 hours, 43 minutes and 12 seconds at a rate invisible to the naked eye. Housed in a 37-millimetre case, the restrained and elegant Classics Moneta Moonphase embodies the canons of watchmaking etiquette, be it on men’s or ladies’ wrists.
The style signature of the Classics Moneta Moonphase is its flange, crafted to resemble the edge of a coin. Here, this hallmark of Geneva watchmaking has been moved from its original location on the bezel, instead adding grooved relief to the dial. Frederique Constant’s creativity delights in these clever, sophisticated new takes on convention – giving the brand its very own design ethos in the process.
On the first new variation, the brilliant yellow gold colour adds a further sense of prestige to the piece; the finish is a first for a Classics Moneta Moonphase. The Moon, stars and all the externals (the case, hour markers, hands, and crown) are done out in the same hue, underscoring the philosophy of affordable luxury so dear to Frederique Constant.
The second version offers a steel colour scheme to complement its gold counterpart. Instead of a calfskin strap, the watch sports a Milanese mesh bracelet – another first in the Classics Moneta Moonphase collection. The flexible bracelet fits snugly around the wrist almost like a second skin, giving the piece both a daringly relaxed air and a vintage look; Milanese mesh was all the rage in the 1970s. The steel bracelet beautifully offsets the colour of the applique hour markers and dauphine hands (another icon of vintage watches), as well as the lunar grey of the Moon and stars. The complication is encircled by a thin gold line matching the lettering of the brand’s ‘Frederique Constant, Genève’ signature at twelve o’clock.
Favre Leuba introduces two new interpretations of the Deep Raider Renaissance series, spotlighting distinctive natural materials: the Deep Raider Renaissance Meteorite and the
Deep Raider Renaissance Malachite.
These editions mark the first time in the brand’s 288-year history that stone dials have been
used, bringing meteorite and malachite into the collection as expressive and technically
demanding elements. While both models draw aesthetic inspiration from the 1964 Deep
Blue, the Renaissance collection embraces the modern design language established in
2024. Together, these uncommon materials bring visual complexity and material storytelling
into one of the maison’s hallmark collections.

Deep Raider Renaissance Meteorite: A Dial Formed Beyond Earth
The meteorite version brings a new material into Favre Leuba’s history: Muonionalusta iron
meteorite from northern Sweden. Composed of iron and nickel, with kamacite and taenite, it
displays the distinctive Widmanstätten pattern formed over millions of years and revealed
through precise slicing and acid treatment.
Preparing a meteorite for watchmaking is delicate work. Each sample is assessed for
stability before being cut into thin sections, as its high iron content can make it brittle.
Craftsmen carefully finish each plate to preserve its extraterrestrial texture while ensuring
durability. Adding to its complexity, the watch features a two-part sandwich dial. A perforated
top layer sits above a base plate coated in Super-Luminova, allowing light to pour through
the cut-out indexes and creating bright, highly legible hour markers.
Each Deep Raider Renaissance Meteorite timepiece comes with a certificate of authenticity
to ensure that the meteorite used in the timepiece is ethically sourced. No two dials look
alike.

Deep Raider Renaissance Malachite: Natural Patterns With Technical Discipline
The malachite edition highlights the brand’s focus on specialty materials and careful
finishing. The dial is crafted from genuine malachite, a semi-precious mineral known for its
vivid green tones and flowing, concentric patterns. Because every slice of this mineral forms
in irregular layers, each dial carries a one-of-a-kind visual identity. Working with malachite
requires careful handling due to its softness and natural veins.
Favre Leuba selects only stable, visually appealing sections of stone before passing them to
artisans who cut the material into thin plates, reinforce it where necessary, and polish it at
low temperatures to maintain its structural integrity. No two dials look alike.
Engineering The Icon: Craft, Performance & Precision
Both editions share the technical framework of the Deep Raider Renaissance. They adopt a
40 mm stainless-steel case with 300-meter water resistance, a ceramic unidirectional-
rotating bezel, and a sapphire crystal. Inside, the automatic FLD02 movement delivers a 68-
hour power reserve and can be viewed through a transparent caseback. Decorative
elements such as Côtes de Genève finishing, blued screws, and a skeletonized 4N-toned
rotor engraved with the Favre Leuba emblem underscore the attention given to mechanical
design.
With the Malachite and Meteorite models, Favre Leuba continues developing a longstanding
design lineage while exploring dial materials that connect terrestrial geological formations
and cosmic origins.

Underlining the timeless appeal of classical design, Jaeger-LeCoultre presents the Master Control Classic, inspired by a 1995 Master Control reference, in a limited edition of 500 pieces.
Set in a 36mm steel case – just two millimetres larger than its historic predecessor – the Master Control Classic is faithful to the original in every aesthetic detail, exuding vintage appeal with its cool, silvery-white colour palette and minimalistic design. The steel case is complemented by a classic silver-coloured sunray dial, with elongated triangular indexes and luminescent dots marking the hours, along with Dauphine hands.
The blued central seconds hand provides a subtle touch of colour. Fastened with a pin buckle, the warm brown ostrich strap, accented with lighter stitching, enhances the vintage appeal of the Master Control Classic.
Blued central seconds hand close-up
Silver sunray dial with Dauphine hands detail
While aesthetically faithful to the historic reference, the Master Control Classic is fitted with the latest version of the self-winding Calibre 899. A Jaeger-LeCoultre mainstay since its introduction almost two decades ago, Calibre 899 has been repeatedly updated to incorporate the latest performance-enhancing technology and today offers a power reserve of 70 hours.
The caseback bears the emblem that set the early Master Control models apart, a mark of their ‘1000-hour Control’ certification, and takes inspiration from the original medallion design of the 1990s. Behind this emblem lies a proprietary protocol, a stringent test of the fully cased watch – not just its movement – which established a new standard of precision when introduced in 1992 and has continually evolved alongside technological advances.
In paying homage to an historic model introduced 30 years ago, the limited-edition Master Control Classic celebrates the enduring appeal of elegant simplicity and classical design codes.
KEY FACTS:

A redesigned case for a more vintage look inspired by the codes of a 1950s model.
The Clifton collection carries forward its quest for stylistic and technical excellence. Passion, imagination, ingenuity, precision and superb crafting are the creative forces behind Baume & Mercier, a legacy that has endured for 195 years. This unique style and watchmaking expertise – sought out and recognized by the modern gentleman who appreciates refinement and precision – is the focus of this collection, launched in 2013.
The models presented at Watches & Wonders 2025 (the Clifton Baumatic M0A10802, M0A10778, and M0A10771) reveal the new design of the iconic round case. The proportions have been slimmed down, the finishes reworked. Three other Clifton Baumatic watches (M0A10773, M0A10792, and M0A10793) complete the range, including two that feature an elegant and innovative metal bracelet specially designed to seamlessly integrate into the new case.
The launch of these three new pieces will take place in September. It is a prime time for renewal, like the spirit which animates the Clifton: inspired and driven by challenges. More luxurious, modern and trendy, these are the not-to-be-missed timepieces of the fall. With them, Baume & Mercier brings a new design to each of life’s little moments. It is a precious companion combining functionality, aesthetics, and emotion.
Timepieces conceived for the discerning, refined modern gentleman
His attraction to elegant, impeccably crafted fine mechanics draws him to these timepieces, and no refined feature of their artistry escapes his expert eye and technical knowledge. Much like an industrial designer who appreciates the beauty of a meticulously designed automobile with flawless mechanical precision, he is drawn to structured lines, clean cuts and curves, harmonious proportions and volumes, noble materials, exceptional performance, precision, and reliability. He knows how to recognize a perfectly executed object, placing great importance on even the slightest detail since he understands that each one makes a difference. Each demonstrates the distinction of Baume & Mercier and its remarkable, exacting watchmaking heritage.
This stylish man wears more than just a watch. He wears a signature, a story, a craft… and a status. The Clifton on his wrist is an object of desire, chosen with the eye of a true connoisseur. It gives him the quiet confidence and special presence to which he aspires: subtle yet unmistakable. He has an intimate bond with his timepiece: a shared sense of creativity, authenticity, and excellence. These very values were championed by William Baume, the brilliant watchmaker, and Paul Mercier, the art enthusiast who brought the Maison its stylistic vision. Since then, the Maison has offered high-end Swiss watchmaking: bold in design, sincere in craftsmanship, and innovative in technique. At once classic and contemporary, the Clifton collection has made its mark with a round case defined by taut lines, sculpted curves, and meticulously studied proportions. This refined showcase is inspired by the 1950s, echoing the discerning taste and polished manners of the true gentleman. It bears the signature of ideal proportions and natural balance symbolized by the Greek letter Phi, which the Brand adopted as its emblem in 1964.

A redesigned case and a new metal bracelet in tribute to the timeless elegance of the 1950s
The Clifton collection returns in a new 39 mm size, a diameter previously reserved for models featuring a moon phase complication. Until now, Clifton three-hand watches were available in 40 mm, but they are now produced in a 39 mm version. This new iteration of the Clifton has been refined with polished and satin-brushed finishes.
It introduces design elements that pay tribute to the timeless elegance of the historic 1950s model: a domed sapphire crystal, a discreetly integrated crown, the return of the Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock, a date aperture at 6 o’clock, and a crosshair design at the center of the dial.
The light-hued dials feature a new off-white grained finish complemented by 5N gold-tone accents. Baume & Mercier has gone a step further in its client-centric approach to watchmaking which drives it to design and craft timepieces according to client expectations. The Clifton collection introduces a new metal bracelet, marking a significant evolution in both aesthetics and ergonomics. The bracelet, featuring three rows of short, semi-circular links, creates a fluid silhouette on the wrist while offering enhanced comfort. Its design draws inspiration from vintage watchmaking codes while maintaining a contemporary feel aligned with the collection’s identity.
The updated construction and well-balanced proportions ensure seamless integration with the newly redesigned case, enhancing its overall visual harmony and reinforcing the Clifton signature look. The carefully calibrated interplay of polished and satin-brushed finishes preserves the refined sophistication and versatile character of this timepiece, while the interchangeable system adds extra flexibility for everyday wear.
The metal bracelet offers essential technical performance features. Crafted in stainless steel – a particularly durable material, it is resistant to heat, humidity, scratches, impacts, and daily wear. A testament to longevity, it is easy to care for and remains radiant over time. The new Clifton metal bracelet is interchangeable, featuring a system that allows it to be replaced without the need for tools. It fastens with a triple folding clasp in stainless steel with security push-pieces, ensuring both comfort and durability.

Clifton Baumatic M0A10773
Its design, shaped by both softness and tension, plays on contrasting forms and complementary opposites. The pairing of steel and gold, off-white and black, underscores this duality for a dynamic, striking color composition.
The off-white dial, with its retro accents and grained texture, offers a particularly mellow time display, subtly textured to add depth and warmth to both the time and calendar indications. The slender, elongated black central crosshair alternates with the restrained black peripheral minute track, subtly accentuated at five-minute intervals. The trapezoidal hour markers are riveted, gold-toned, faceted, and slightly elongated. An Arabic numeral appears at 12 o’clock. The alpha-shaped hour and minute hands are gold-plated and faceted, and the seconds hand is also gold-plated. An aperture displays the date at 6 o’clock.
The sculptural round case measures an ideal 39 mm in diameter and 11.22 mm in thickness. Protected by a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal treated on both sides with an anti-glare coating, the case, like the crown, is crafted in polished and satin-finished stainless steel. The sapphire crystal case back, secured by four screws, may be custom-engraved. The beautiful and precise Baumatic Manufacture automatic movement (BM13-1975A) beats at the heart of this timepiece.
The model features an interchangeable strap crafted in brown alligator leather with all-square scales and tone- on-tone overstitching on the top, a beige lining with ocher overstitching on the underside, and bar tacks around the buckle. It may be replaced without the use of tools thanks to a very reliable spring bar system. It fastens with a triple folding clasp in stainless steel with security push-pieces.
Clifton Baumatic M0A10792
Its luminous dial is enhanced by subtle shades of blue in a gradation that is lighter at the center and darker around the perimeter of the watch. The lacquered finish adds a great deal of sophistication. Standing out in contrast against this deep, carefully crafted decoration are the slender, crisp white central seconds track; slightly elongated riveted, rhodium-plated, faceted trapezoidal indexes; faceted, rhodium-plated alpha-shaped hour and minute hands; and rhodium-plated seconds hand. The dial is framed by a white minute track. The date appears in a large aperture at 6 o’clock. The hour at 12 o’clock is indicated by an Arabic numeral in a more rounded shape reflecting that of the case.

The Clifton collection is writing a new chapter in its story. Through this new aesthetic, it masterfully carries forward the spirit and design of Baume & Mercier.
The Legacy Machine 101 (LM101) series was first launched in 2014. With its 40mm case diameter, the LM101 is among the smallest and thinnest of all the Legacy Machines, featuring a nonetheless very three-dimensional movement, regulated by a monumental 14mm “flying” balance wheel that floats above the movement.
As its “101” name implies, the timepiece focuses on the essentials of a mechanical wristwatch: the balance wheel, which regulates precision; the power reserve, showing how much energy remains in the mainspring and when it needs to be wound; and, of course, the display of time itself.
The LM101 movement was the first calibre entirely conceived by MB&F’s in-house engineering team. Award-winning, independent watchmaker Kari Voutilainen played a pivotal role in the design and finishing specifications, ensuring that its architecture and 19th century style hand-finishing techniques met the highest standards of traditional haute horlogerie and respected the codes of historical watchmaking.
Over the last decade, the reference has seen many stunning iterations in white, rose and yellow gold, platinum, palladium and stainless steel – along with a plethora of striking dial colours and finishes, each as desirable as the next.
The LM101 is now one of MB&F’s most coveted creations, and over the last few years, collectors and enthusiasts have frequently expressed their desire for an EVO edition. To mark MB&F’s 20th anniversary in 2025, the brand has finally decided to answer this request with the debut of the LM101 EVO – a fitting tribute to two decades of horological artistry and a thank you to the model’s most avid fans.
What is the EVO effect?
The EVO series was introduced in 2020 with the LM Perpetual EVO – an evolution of the award-winning LM Perpetual. This was followed by the LM Split Escapement EVO and the LM Sequential EVO in 2022.
The EVO treatment includes a set of design and engineering enhancements that are applied to certain Legacy Machine models, transforming them into timepieces that are better equipped for everyday wear and an active lifestyle. Key features of the EVO models include a water resistance of 80 metres, a screw-down crown, an integrated rubber strap, and MB&F’s patented FlexRing shock absorber that is fitted between the case and the movement to protect the watch during active use. To further enhance resistance and wearability, the models employ advanced materials such as zirconium and titanium.
In terms of design, the EVO models stand out thanks to their ergonomic case design and integrated strap; but also by forgoing a traditional bezel, offering an unobstructed view of the Super-LumiNova enhanced displays through their domed sapphire crystals. On the movement side, EVO models feature darkened treatments, amplifying their sporty, contemporary aesthetic.
The 20th Anniversary LM101 EVO Editions
In celebration of MB&F’s 20th anniversary in 2025, two LM101 EVO editions are introduced in titanium, available with either a salmon or peacock green dial plate. These dial plate colours are produced using CVD, short for chemical vapor deposition – a technique chosen for its technical advantages as the dial plate forms an integral part of the movement. The peacock green version is particularly captivating as shifting hues of green, blue, and purple light refract across its surface. The salmon version is just as noteworthy as it is a relatively rare colour for MB&F.
Those with a keen eye will also notice a host of new details in these EVO editions. The two black subdials, hovering just about the dial plate, are now framed by finely circled borders. At the top right, the highly legible hours and minutes are displayed by newly designed white gold hands. The power reserve indicator, positioned in the lower subdial, reveals a significant improvement: the power reserve of the LM101 EVO calibre has been increased from the previous 45 hours to 60 hours, in keeping with the sportier theme.
The elegant twin arches suspending the flying balance wheel continue to catch the eye. Milled from a single block of metal, they require many hours of hand finishing to achieve their mirror-like lustre. In this EVO version, they feature a more fluid and refined base, further distinguishing this model from the classic LM101 version. The escapement wheel has also undergone a refined redesign, inspired by the recurring battle-axe motif found in MB&F timepieces.
A Straumann double hairspring and a reliable slipping mainspring barrel are integral features of the manually-wound LM101 EVO movement. New for this LM101 edition is the innovative proprietary FlexRing which comes with the EVO package. Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer arrives at Geneva Watch Days 2025 with a powerful and diverse showcase that reflects the full depth of its creative and technical ambition. Across standout releases, the brand explores radically different watchmaking frontiers, united by one shared vision: pushing the limits of what is possible in design, engineering and storytelling. At the heart of this year’s watch fair is the launch of TH-Carbonspring, a major innovation in watchmaking technology. Alongside it, the new TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer reimagines the moonphase complication in a unique and precise interpretation.
This is what TAG Heuer is all about: avant-garde watchmaking in motion— bold, curious and uncompromising.
THINKING WATCH-MAKING IN THE 21ST CENTURY
Introducing the TH-Carbonspring oscillator, a technical breakthrough that will shape the future of mechanical watchmaking, and two world-premiere limited-edition watches that tell the story of TAG Heuer’s winning innovation. TAG Heuer, the luxury Swiss watchmaker that has been a leader in avant-garde precision timekeeping instruments for more than 160 years, is proud to announce a new paradigm in mechanical watchmaking. The TH-Carbonspring is a revolutionary technical innovation that will define the next chapter in watchmaking’s epic five-hundred-year story.
The TH-Carbonspring oscillator significantly improves the environmental resistance and long-term stability of a mechanical watch. It has been conceived, developed and is produced entirely in-house by the TAG Heuer LAB, and is the result of a decade of intensive research and development. For almost 10 years, TAG Heuer’s expert watchmakers, engineers and technicians have devoted themselves to realizing this watchmaking milestone, battling the forces of physics and overcoming numerous challenges to deliver a technical innovation that fast-tracks TAG Heuer into the future. As much as a tale of scientific breakthrough and the brilliance of the team behind it, this is a story of single-mindedness, resilience and overcoming the odds. As per a dynamic new brand campaign introduced at Watches and Wonders Geneva this April, victory belongs to TAG Heuer: “Designed to Win”.
A New Milestone in Watchmaking History
The story of modern mechanical watchmaking began around half a millennium ago. It took a giant leap forward in 1675, when the Dutch polymath Christian Huygens invented the modern oscillator by pairing a balance wheel and a hairspring, a hair-like spiral installed at the heart of a movement’s regulating organ. This tiny spring enabled watchmakers to control the oscillation of a watch movement’s balance wheel, delivering significant improvements not only in timekeeping precision, but also in portability. The hairspring would change the course of horological history and shape the 350 years of watchmaking that followed up until today. It had its flaws, though. Initially made of steel, a ferrous material, it was subject to the effects of shocks, temperature changes and magnetism. Over the past 100 years and as the technological age began, material improvements would see steel replaced by special, more resistant alloys. Then, a quarter of a century ago, the watch industry embraced silicon, harnessing its low-maintenance and high-resistance properties to greatly improve the everyday performance of mechanical watches.
So, what next? The TAG Heuer LAB could have iterated on silicon hairspring technology. But the true avant- garde spirit demands a fresh approach. And so instead, the TAG Heuer LAB chose to break the mold and to push the boundaries of innovation. Today, in the 350th anniversary year of Huygens’ invention and armed with its revolutionary new hairspring technology, TAG Heuer is ready to begin a new chapter in mechanical watchmaking. The age of TH-Carbonspring has begun.
Ten Years of Relentless Effort
The process behind the TH-Carbonspring oscillator began a decade ago and it has taken nine years of dedication and unrelenting self-belief and determination to transform the intellectual concept behind it into a fully functioning reality. Along the way, there have been false dawns and existential setbacks, sobering moments that might have stopped others in their tracks.
But TAG Heuer does not quit. Rather than treating them as a dead end, and summoning extraordinary mental strength, the TAG Heuer LAB turned these setbacks into steps forward, leveraging the learnings of each near-thing to inch closer to the ultimate solution. With every experience, TAG Heuer’s engineers were able to tweak and improve the blueprint. A turning point came in 2019, when a solution came to market. It fell short of TAG Heuer’s precision standards, but it also helped pinpoint the changes required. To perfect the system, another six demanding years of development would be needed. Through this period, the company’s engineers identified the additional manufacturing steps that would progress and refine the hairspring’s environmental resistance and long-term stability. After thousands of hours of testing, the TAG Heuer LAB confirmed the technology was ready for industrialization and could be put into production watches with, critically, the company’s assurances of a five-year warranty firmly intact. After almost a decade, TAG Heuer now proudly presents a hairspring that not only realizes the mission’s goals, but that also works reliably and consistently for thousands and thousands of hours, delivering exceptional mechanical timekeeping precision and performance in line with TAG Heuer’s avant-garde, winning spirit.
“Given the scale and complexity of the goal we set ourselves at the TAG Heuer LAB, the innovation process has involved countless steps and at least as many failures as successes,” said Emmanuel Dupas, TAG Heuer technical director. “It starts with intuition, then a hypothesis, then development, and then testing. Each result carries weight. Sometimes a result gives you confidence in your hypothesis. Other times, it goes against it and your hypothesis breaks down. There are no short cuts. Only hard work, backed by a healthy level of scientific doubt and the competences of your team.”
M. Dupas reflected on the achievement: “We’ve devoted nine years of our lives to opening a new chapter in the wonderful story of precision mechanical watchmaking,” he said. “We are immensely proud of this achievement and the role it will play in the history of this avant-garde, innovation-centric company, and of the everyday performance enhancements it will deliver to TAG Heuer owners.”
The Carbon Spiral’s Three Performance Upgrades
The TH-Carbonspring is an exclusive technical development, patented by TAG Heuer, and it delivers three material benefits that will improve a watch’s daily performance. First, is that the hairspring is “amagnetic”, or resistant to magnetism, a significant property in an age when the everyday devices that surround us emit strong magnetic fields. When magnetized, non-static mechanical watch components become compromised and can no longer perform at their peak, with a negative knock-on impact on precision. In extreme cases, magnetized watches will stop working altogether. The second is that the TH-Carbonspring is resistant to shocks. Even simple actions such as closing a door or clapping can create shocks that will disrupt the smooth running and accuracy of a mechanical watch. TAG Heuer’s development counters these effects. And the third is that carbon has lightweight properties that reduce inertia in a hairspring, thereby increasing chronometric performance.
The TAG Heuer LAB’s Finest Hour
As unique as the performance traits is the story of the TH-Carbonspring’s development and production. It was developed entirely in-house by the TAG Heuer LAB, the Swiss watchmaker’s recently renamed innovation center once known as the TAG Heuer Institute, which was previously responsible for a catalogue of ground-breaking material and mechanical innovations. As well as being developed in-house, the TH-Carbonspring is produced entirely in-house, leveraging the company’s multidisciplinary technical expertise and network of vertically integrated, industrialized Swiss manufacturing centers. TAG Heuer has filed four patent applications related to this technology. One of these has already been granted and the other three are pending at the time of publication. After almost a decade in development, it’s clear the TH-Carbonspring is the product of extraordinary mental strength, a seemingly impossible comeback that in the spirit of TAG Heuer is Designed to Win.
Winning Designs for the Carbon Age
For the first watches to carry the new TH-Carbonspring technology, TAG Heuer turned to its two most emblematic designs: the TAG Heuer Monaco and the TAG Heuer Carrera. The iconic duo defines TAG Heuer’s innovative spirit, technical creativity and elite motorsport pedigree, and has been telling TAG Heuer’s avant-garde story for more than half a century. As a result, the very first watches to carry the new TH-Carbonspring oscillator also embody this new chapter in watchmaking history. The TAG Heuer Monaco Flyback Chronograph TH-Carbonspring and TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport TH-Carbonspring marry their own unique design codes with the story of TAG Heuer’s ground-breaking new technology. Each has a case forged in carbon fiber, a high-tech material that TAG Heuer has been pioneering in watchmaking for many years, exercising its lightweight, highly resistant properties and motorsport connections to produce watches that combine TAG Heuer’s past and present together in seamless harmony.
Both watches also feature bespoke carbon fiber detailing, most notably in their forged carbon dials decorated with a spiral that, like a hairspring, is snail-shaped rather than a perfect circle.
Every Detail Matters
As per TAG Heuer’s design mantra, a watch must perform its primary function efficiently. For legibility, the TAG Heuer Monaco Flyback Chronograph TH-Carbonspring has black-gold-plated hour and minute hands with white Super-LumiNova®, and high-contrast white lacquered hands. A black-gold small second hand, black forged carbon indexes, crown and chronograph pushers add to the watch’s high- tech stealth look. Finishing the picture are black-gold chapter rings around the two subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock, and a black rubber strap with a fabric-like pattern. The timepiece is powered by TAG Heuer’s in-house TH20- 60 Calibre, a chronometer-certified automatic flyback chronograph with an 80-hour power reserve. As avant-garde is the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport TH-Carbonspring. Its core characteristics mirror those of its TAG Heuer Monaco counterpart, with the addition of a forged carbon bezel with a tachymeter scale, and a switch to a sleek black rubber strap. Inside beats TAG Heuer’s in-house TH20-61 Calibre, an automatic chronometer-certified chronograph tourbillon movement featuring a 65-hour power reserve.
Both new watches will be limited to just 50 numbered pieces and presented in bespoke packaging.
TAG Heuer on Pole
The TH-Carbonspring isn’t the chequered flag: instead, it puts TAG Heuer in pole position as the race begins. This is the first step on a path of continuous improvement, leading to a new generation of high- performing mechanical watches that deliver enhanced, meaningful everyday functionality to owners. This is avant-garde innovation. It has purpose. And the story will go on.
“The TH-Carbonspring is a major watchmaking breakthrough and a milestone in the history of this endlessly innovative 165-year-old company,” said Antoine Pin, TAG Heuer chief executive. “But it’s also a story of towering mental strength and resilience. Imagine spending a decade on realizing a single idea. It’s incredible. An epic, heroic achievement that only a brand Designed to Win could have pulled off. And this is just the beginning. There are many complementary technologies in the pipeline and, in time, these will trickle down through our collections of high-performance, highly precise mechanical watches. This is avant-garde watchmaking for the 21st century. This is TAG Heuer.”
THE RHYTHM OF THE COSMOS
TAG Heuer introduces the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer, a new lunar interpretation in modern watchmaking
Born on the racetrack and crafted to conquer every horizon, from racing to sailing, the TAG Heuer Carrera collection has always pushed boundaries. Today, its pioneering spirit propels it further into the world of space and astronomy. With the spirit of conquest that defines the TAG Heuer Carrera, the brand begins its next chapter in astronomical watchmaking, staying true to its heritage while pushing forward a bold and contemporary interpretation with the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer. This timepiece introduces an avant- garde expression of the moonphase complication, crafted with clarity, precision, and a deep respect for cosmic rhythm. As a modern evolution in the collection, the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer signals a distinct expansion into a space once touched by the brand’s pioneering instruments.
A Legacy Marked by Orbit
In 1962, a significant moment in both watchmaking and space history occurred when astronaut John Glenn wore a specifically modified Heuer 2915A stopwatch aboard NASA’s Friendship 7 spacecraft. On February 20 of that year, Glenn relied on this precision instrument as he circled Earth three times, bringing a Swiss timepiece into space for the first time. This achievement affirmed TAG Heuer’s technical ingenuity and its readiness to perform beyond Earth’s limits. The mission became a defining chapter in the brand’s history, linking precision watchmaking to the pursuit of discovery on a global stage. That legacy now leads to the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer, a timepiece that trades the adrenaline of race circuits and finish lines for the measured precision of the lunar cycle, following one of the most daring chapters of human explorations. With this launch, TAG Heuer expands its creative and mechanical reach, continuing to design instruments that challenge convention and embrace the unknown.
Lunar Precision
At the core of the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer is the newly released Calibre 7, a mechanical movement with a 50-hour power reserve. This movement powers a moonphase complication that redefines how lunar cycles are read. At 6 o’clock, a rotating disc presents seven illustrated moon stages with crisp accuracy. Flanked by two slender arrows calibrated for daily motion, the display clearly shows the moon’s current phase as well as its position in the 29.5-day cycle. This approach breaks from the abstract displays commonly associated with traditional moonphase watches. TAG Heuer has chosen scientific precision as the design principle. The result is both functional and avant-garde, bringing clarity and fidelity to astronomical reality. Each day at 1:00 AM, the lunar disc advances in perfect rhythm with real-world moon movement. This synchronization elevates accuracy and strengthens the sense of connection between the wearer and the moonphase cycle above. The dial design reflects this philosophy with this avant-garde moonphase display being the focal point. On the reverse, the caseback reveals an astronomical observatory, a tribute to the timepiece’s cosmic inspiration, accompanied by the Victory Wreath, symbolizing triumph and enduring excellence.
Three Models for one Celestial vision
The TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer is introduced through three distinct models, each shaped by its own visual identity but united by a shared creative direction. Together, they form a trilogy of designs that captures the collection’s lunar inspiration with a rich balance of materiality, color, and form.
The first model, part of the core TAG Heuer Carrera collection, brings clarity and bold contrast through a stainless-steel construction paired with a silver dial. Its black flange and black moonphase disc evoke the stillness of space, while deep grey detailing adds a sense of movement and atmosphere. The rhodium- plated hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova® for optimum legibility. The bracelet, a modern interpretation of the Maison’s iconic beads of rice design from the 1960s, connects the watch to TAG Heuer’s history of elegance with purpose. Its visual weight and fluidity of form create a confident, grounded silhouette.
The second edition, produced in a limited run of 500 individually numbered pieces, introduces modernity through its crisp visual contrasts and refined details. The silver dial is framed by a dark grey flange, providing an edge that sets the stage for the timepiece’s turquoise accents – all enhanced with Super-LumiNova®. These luminous details, visible on the Arabic numerals, hands, and moonphase display, bring a futuristic tone to the design and introduce a heightened sense of energy. This model is fitted with a grey leather strap that adds a tactile, modern elegance to the overall composition.
The third model brings warmth and refinement to the series. It combines stainless steel with rose gold tones, resulting in a two-tone look. The 18K 5N rose gold plated flange and matching hands – filled with Super-LumiNova® – and Arabic numerals introduce a sense of preciousness. The moonphase display is rendered in a tone-on-tone palette, subtly integrated into the composition. This edition, also limited to 500 individually numbered pieces, is fitted with a steel and 18K 5N rose gold fine-brushed bracelet that echoes the beads-of-rice structure.
While each model tells its own story, the overall aesthetics remains cohesive. The 39-millimeter case size gives the collection a balanced presence on the wrist, precisely proportioned for everyday elegance.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer brings together the artistry of celestial observation and the rigor of high-performance watchmaking. It represents a shift in how time is perceived – less as a constant tick and more as a cycle, a rhythm. With this collection, TAG Heuer reimagines its purpose for today’s world, where technology, design, and meaning must move together. This is not a return to form. It is a forward step into a territory that speaks of vision, curiosity, and alignment with something greater than time alone. The TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer reminds us that even the most familiar complications can become new again when viewed through a wider horizon.

Masterlink Gem-Set: The last asymmetric vision reimagined
Gerald Charles proudly presents the Masterlink Gem-Set Limited
Edition, a luxurious update of the brand’s asymmetric integrated bracelet watch. For the first time, gem- setting is introduced into this collection, reflecting Mr. Gérald Charles Genta’s spirit of “Artistic Creativity, Technical Mastery.”
Each version of this new release features a silver dial, and a white gold bezel set with 60 baguette-cut sapphires or tsavorites. Each colour is limited to just 10 pieces worldwide.
Each bezel is adorned with gemstones of the highest purity, invisibly set to create a seamless surface of brilliance. Due to the Maestro’s asymmetrical case shape, each stone is custom-cut, and the reduced metal surface posed a significant challenge, solved by in-house engineering innovations.
The evolution of the last known integrated asymmetric bracelet designed by Mr. Gérald Charles Genta.
The Masterlink follows the legacy of the Sarawak, a unique timepiece created by Mr. Genta in 2007 for the Royal Family of Sarawak. With over 15 carats of precious stones – round diamonds and baguette rubies – and valued at over €1 million, the Sarawak marked Genta’s only known asymmetric integrated
bracelet watch, until now.
“The Sarawak is the first and only known asymmetric integrated bracelet timepiece created by Mr. Genta, and from its legacy began the journey that led to the Masterlink – the first asymmetric integrated bracelet watch available on the market today,” notes CEO Federico Ziviani.
The DNA of the Masterlink identity: asymmetric case shape, flawless integrated bracelet and singular finishings
The name Masterlink clearly reflects the Maison’s intent to maintain a strong connection with the founder’s creative vision – reinforcing this aim by incorporating links into the original design.
The identity of the Masterlink is defined by a harmonious blend of design, innovation, and craftsmanship. It begins with its asymmetric case shape (38mm), a refined evolution of the iconic Maestro silhouette, which retains the signature ‘smile’ at 6 o’clock, the Maison’s signature.
Equally distinctive is the integrated bracelet, the first of its kind for the Maison. Designed with hidden screws and a concealed butterfly clasp, it achieves a seamless look while ensuring exceptional ergonomic comfort on the wrist.
“Our aim was to let simplicity conceal complexity,” explains Federico Ziviani. “Showcasing a watch’s complexity isn’t too challenging. ”.
At 6 o’clock, the central links initially follow the curve of the ‘smile’, then gradually straighten out, while at 12 o’clock they extend the case and bezel’s straight topline. “We have created, as only few others have, a truly asymmetrical bracelet in haute horlogerie,” adds Federico Ziviani.
Completing the timepiece is a dedication to finishing excellence. The central link is vertically brushed to echo the direction of the dial’s Côtes de Genève motif, drawing inspiration from the elegance of Italian pinstriped tailoring and reinforcing the watch’s refined aesthetic. The dial itself features a linear relief motif, which is not stamped. Instead, it is constructed from two separate levels, layered to create true depth and sophistication.
Refined Engineering and Finishing
Despite its slim 7.9 mm profile, the watch features a screw-down crown with a Clou de Paris motif. The dial uses a two-level construction for added depth, while the case back reveals a finely finished micro- rotor movement with a total thickness of just 2.7 mm. Water-resistant to 100 meters and Ergonteq-certified for optimal ergonomics, the Masterlink remains versatile enough for everyday wear, even with gemstones.
Designed for Today’s Discreet Luxury
“This is not an ostentatious piece, but the ultimate in discreet luxury,” says CEO Federico Ziviani. “Luxury means comfort, and the Masterlink is designed to feel perfect, no matter the occasion—even while swimming.” With vivid gemstones and exceptional craftsmanship, the Masterlink Gem-Set brings radiant colour and enduring elegance to the wrist, while honoring the timeless vision of its founder.

Made in Switzerland from a block of one of the most robust stainless steels in existence, 316L steel, the case of the TUDOR Royal models is waterproof in all circumstances and to 100 metres (330 feet) below sea level thanks to its screw-down crown and caseback. The movement – the pinnacle of Swiss watchmaking expertise – is finely decorated despite not being visible and is adjusted to the highest chronometry standards in the watchmaking industry. Finally, the smooth and seamless five-link metal bracelet stands out thanks to the quality of its design, manufacturing and finish. All these things and more come together to produce the famous TUDOR quality, a philosophy summarised by the brand’s signature, “Born To Dare” – always striving to do better.
SPORT-CHIC WATCH WITH INTEGRATED BRACELET
The TUDOR Royal range is the ultimate in balance, elegance and versatility. With its integrated metal bracelet ensuring an uninterrupted line with the case, TUDOR Royal embodies fluidity and unmistakable style. Characterised by its three wide satin-brushed links set between two slimmer polished elements, the smooth quality of its surfaces and edges emphasises the importance that TUDOR places on ensuring its comfort on the wrist. Available in stainless steel or with alternating links in stainless steel and yellow gold, the meticulous finishes of the models in this range cater to every taste.
THE TUDOR MANUFACTURE
Every TUDOR watch is assembled and fully tested to TUDOR’s superior standards at the new TUDOR Manufacture located in Le Locle, Switzerland. This new state-of-the-art facility, bringing together the know-how of watchmakers with the best in production management and automated testing systems, was completed in 2021 after three years of construction. All decked out in TUDOR red, the Manufacture spans over four levels totalling 5,500 square meters and is physically and visually connected to the neighbouring Kenissi Manufacture, the TUDOR movement production facility founded in 2016. With Kenissi and a network of TUDOR-owned affiliates, the brand has been able to integrate the development and production of high-performance mechanical calibres. As a consequence, TUDOR now fully masters the manufacturing of strategic components and can guarantee their quality.
THE TUDOR GUARANTEE
Since its creation by Hans Wilsdorf in 1926, and in line with his vision of an ideal watchmaking product, TUDOR has never stopped producing the most robust, durable, reliable and precise watches in existence today. Bolstered by this experience, and confident in the knowledge of the superior quality of its watches, TUDOR offers a five-year guarantee on all its products. This guarantee does not require the watch to be registered or any periodic maintenance checks to be performed and is transferable should the watch change ownership during coverage. TUDOR also recommends that its watches should be serviced approximately every 10 years depending on the model and the extent of its use on a day-to-day basis.
TUDOR IS “BORN TO DARE”
In 2017, TUDOR launched a new campaign with the “Born To Dare” signature. It reflects both the history of the brand and what it stands for today. It tells the adventures of individuals who have achieved the extraordinary on land, on ice, in the air and underwater, with a TUDOR watch on their wrists. It also refers to the vision of Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of TUDOR, who manufactured TUDOR watches to withstand the most extreme conditions, watches made for the most daring lifestyles. It is testimony to TUDOR’s singular approach to watchmaking, which has made it what it is today. At the cutting edge of the watchmaking industry, its innovations are now essential benchmarks. The TUDOR “Born To Dare” spirit is supported throughout the world by first class ambassadors, whose achievements result directly from a daring approach to life.

For the first time in its 288-year history, Favre Leuba introduces a fully skeletonized timepiece: the Chief Skeleton.
This striking model showcases the brand’s signature cushion-shaped case and a meticulously open worked manufacture movement, developed in collaboration with AMT.
Building on the momentum of the brand’s first-ever tourbillon – the Chief Tourbillon – presented earlier this year, the Chief Skeleton marks another major step in Favre Leuba’s ongoing journey.
The Chief Skeleton is offered in two variations: a gold-finished movement paired with a brushed and polished case, and an anthracite-finished movement housed in a DLC-coated black steel case.
“2025 is about maintaining the momentum and continuing to build on Favre Leuba’s pioneering legacy,” says Patrik Hoffmann, Chairman of Favre Leuba. “We introduce some of the most technically intricate and visually striking timepieces in our history. After our first-ever tourbillon presented earlier this year, we show a natural progression today with the Chief Skeleton, our first skeletonized model, inspired by the original Chief case design of the 1970s. These creations honor our heritage while marking significant milestones in our long history as one of the oldest watchmakers.”
A Modern Take on the Classic Skeleton
The Chief Skeleton retains the iconic cushion-shaped case of the Chief Collection, now given a presence all its own with the fully skeletonized movement it houses. Every component and aspect – bridge, gear, and aperture – is precisely crafted to ensure both architectural balance and visual elegance.
With its combination of brushed and polished finishes, the 40mm case creates a dynamic play of light, shadow, and texture. This mesmerizing effect is further enhanced by the curved sapphire crystal, where the anti-reflective coating improves visibility, providing a clear view of the openworked movement from every angle.
Revealing Favre Leuba’s First Skeleton Movement
The custom-designed skeleton movement—finished in gold or anthracite—juxtaposes different textures, each contributing a distinct visual element. Snailing, a technique where a rotating tool creates a spiral pattern, adds a refined circular texture that enhances the movement’s depth and elegance. This intricate finish, along with satin and sandblasted surfaces, creates a dramatic visual display, drawing the eye to explore the openworked movement.
The multi-layered movement architecture includes a semi-exposed mainspring barrel at 12 o’clock and a balance wheel at 6 o’clock. The balance wheel bridge, with its horizontal brushing, is an exclusive Favre Leuba design that underscores the brand’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.
Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement provides a 41-hour power reserve. The skeletonized rotor features a satin finish and an engraved Favre Leuba wordmark. In the anthracite version, the rotor is coated with a matching black chrome (DLC) finish, creating a seamless visual connection with the case.
The open worked design not only reduces weight but also enhances the visibility of the movement, emphasizing the transparency of the watch’s mechanics.
Variants and Versatility
The Chief Skeleton is available in two configurations:
Steel case withgold-finished movement – featuring either a green, blue, or black minute track, matched with a corresponding FKM rubber strap.
Black DLC case with anthracite-finished movement – featuring either a green, blue, black, or ice blue minute track, matched with a corresponding FKM rubber strap.
An integrated quick-change mechanism ensures effortless transitions between strap and bracelet, enhancing the watch’s versatility and adaptability to any occasion.
With the Chief Skeleton, Favre Leuba redefines the art of skeletonization, presenting a timepiece that seamlessly merges bold design with masterful craftsmanship. This launch marks a defining moment in the brand’s rich history, taking a bold step forward in its commitment to horological excellence.
Jaeger-LeCoultre continues its pursuit of precision in mechanics and aesthetics with three new interpretations of the Master Grande Tradition Calibre 985. Two are cased in Platinum (950/1000) with an eye-catching blue dial, one with a polished bezel and one with a diamond-set bezel, and the third is cased in 18k pink gold (750/1000) with a brown dial. Developed in 2013, Calibre 985 unites a perpetual calendar and moon phase display with the fascination of a flying tourbillon equipped with a cylindrical hairspring.
Inspired by the quest for precision
The pursuit of precision at Jaeger-LeCoultre is driven by the values of its founder, Antoine LeCoultre. His obsession with accuracy, not only in the design and structure of his calibres, but also in the finishing, assembly and decoration of each case and dial, has inspired every succeeding generation to continue the journey. Calibre 985, incorporating a tourbillon with a cylindrical hairspring, masterfully demonstrates the Manufacture’s expertise in this quest for precision.
The regulating organ – comprising the balance wheel, hairspring and escapement – is one of the most important parts of a movement as it governs the accuracy of timekeeping. Having focused considerable effort for many years on researching the effect of incorporating tourbillons into the regulating organ and on the impact of differently shaped hairsprings, Jaeger-LeCoultre has a deep understanding of how this affects the accuracy of the watch. The expansion and contraction of the hairspring controls the back-and-forth oscillations of the balance wheel, and it is crucial that these oscillations are concentric in order to limit the impact of both gravity and magnetism.
The Manufacture’s engineers discovered that the shape and attachment (terminal curves) of a hairspring determine the way it contracts and expands. They determined that different shapes oscillate differently, according to the specific construction of the regulating organ in a particular calibre. This has prompted the development of hairsprings in S-shape, spherical, semi-spherical and cylindrical forms. Being one of the very few Manufactures able to shape its own hairsprings in-house gives La Grande Maison a distinct advantage in this respect.
The helical or cylindrical form of the hairspring was invented in 1776 then largely forgotten until the 21st century. The ends of the spring coil inwards and it offers enhanced isochronic performance, beating concentrically in every position, regardless of the amplitude (the back-and-forth swing of the balance wheel) or remaining power reserve. This is the hairspring used in Calibre 985.
Calibre 985 – The precision of complications and decoration
A complex and sophisticated movement entirely developed and produced by Jaeger-LeCoultre, Calibre 985 is composed of 431 parts, of which the flying tourbillon alone comprises 83 components. Crafted in titanium, it weighs just 0.386 grams. The enhanced isochronism of the cylindrical hairspring made it the right choice for this movement, which delivers all the functions of a perpetual calendar, as well as a moon phase that will require no adjustment for 122 years.
On the reverse side of the watch, the sapphire crystal case back reveals the exceptional precision of the Haute Horlogerie finishes on the movement, including blued screws, sunrayed Côtes de Genève, snailing and hand-bevelling. The winding rotor in 22k rose gold (916/1000) is decorated with sunray engraving and a reproduction of the gold medal awarded to Antoine LeCoultre at the 1851 Great Exhibition in London for his development of precisely calibrated stamping, cutting machines and mechanical lathes which allowed the components’ interchangeability.
Exceptional cases in platinum and in pink gold with a signature dial
Sophisticated in design and complex in structure, the Master Grande Tradition case consists of more than 80 components. With screwed in lugs and a mix of polished, brushed and micro-blasted surfaces, the case is reserved for only the Maison’s most complex calibres.
The warm glow of the pink gold case is complemented by the soft brown of the corresponding dial, while the cool tones of the platinum case create a striking contrast with the rich blue dial, enhanced by the high polish of the bezel. On the second platinum-cased model, the colour contrast is amplified by diamonds. The bezel is set with 72 baguette-cut diamonds, making a total of approximately 3.4 carats – the subject of 15 hours of gem-setting work in the Manufacture’s own Métiers Rares™ atelier.
A hand-bevelled bridge spans across the dial, with the area surrounding the tourbillon set below the rest of the dial for both aesthetic effect and technical reasons. Tiny details and subtle colour variations add visual interest: the minute track and periphery of each sub-dial are micro-blasted, the inside of the sub-dials is opaline, appearing to change colour in different lights, and the three-dimensional letters and numerals of the calendar indications are laser-engraved in relief, to stand out against their background. Given the emphasis on timekeeping precision, the seconds are indicated on an arc-shaped 20-second scale below the tourbillon aperture – with the three blue hands mounted on the tourbillon cage each measuring a 20-second interval as the tourbillon completes a rotation around its axis every 60 seconds.
The outstanding Master Grande Tradition watch calibres, each comprising multiple complications and several hundred components, epitomise La Grande Maison’s spirit of innovation and devotion to precision. This complexity is complemented by remarkable precision in the decoration and finishing of both movement components and habillage. The new dials of the Master Grande Tradition Calibre 985 are elegant and pure, while the sapphire crystal case back offers a glimpse into true watchmaking mastery.

Gravée Main marks a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. Hand engraving takes center stage in a limited series of 99 unique timepieces. From case to bezel and from lugs and crown to buckle, every metal element is fully hand-engraved and finished in a demanding
process taking more than 50 hours. Hand engraving brings something machines can’t: uniqueness. Each cut, each curve is done by hand. No two are alike.
Just one artist, one piece of steel. The Gravée Main is art.isanship on the wrist. Tradition, with bite. Craft, with character.
Centuries-old craftsmanship, made wearable and collectible. A timepiece for the few and for those in the know.
“What I love most about these collaborations is how a minimalist watch becomes something completely different at the artist’s hand. Starting from the clean lines of the Noirmont, baroque floral motifs take over the entire object. It’s steel, yet it feels alive. Gravée Main is all about contrast: lavish ornamentation clashing beautifully with pure design. This watch is unique, not just in what it shows, but in what it says. It speaks of time, art, legacy, as well as resilience, the duty to protect and transmit rare crafts. Artistic crafts should be worn, live, and passed on. That’s our mission.” – Manuel Emch

Mission to art
Since 2021, Louis Erard has been pushing the boundaries of Métiers d’Art: Grand Feu enamel, guilloché, wood marquetry, and soon-to-be-launched gold wire inlay. Gravée Main opens a new chapter. A tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking: hand engraving. Engraving came before watches, born with goldsmiths. By the 18th century, it adorned anything from pocket watches to comtoise clocks. Almost at the same time, swirling Baroque floral motifs flourished. Gravée Main brings both traditions together.
Hand Engraving: the art of depth
The core: the 42mm Noirmont case in stainless steel.
The metal: steel, a material more difficult to engrave by hand due to its greater hardness, its
resistance to scratching and deformation.
The process: 50 hours from first pencil stroke to final polish.
The result: a singular object, impossible to replicate and far beyond what any machine can achieve. Each surface, case, bezel, lugs, crown, buckle, shaped and decorated through a precise multi-step engraving process.
It all begins with design: the artist sketches and refines the pattern, then transfers it freehand or with a stencil. Tools are chosen with care, different burins for different depths. The surface is first drypoint-etched to guide the engraving. Then comes the carving, line by line, millimeter by millimeter, adapting each movement to the shape and contours of the watch.
Once engraved, details, shading and textures are added by hand and eye. The case is cleaned and polished to bring out contrast and depth. Finally, quality control: visual balance is checked, structural integrity tested.
The minimalist architecture of Louis Erard becomes a canvas for centuries-old ornamentation, extending even to the dial. Inspired by baroque clocks, it pairs Roman numerals and pear- shaped rhodium-plated hands in a modern reinterpretation. Intentionally understated, the dial features a glossy black lacquer finish with anthracite and black transferred prints.
The artist behind the metal
Each Gravée Main is engraved by hand in Ukraine by Maksym Shavlak, a watchmaker and artist known for transforming antique timepieces into modern hybrids. Using his tools, he gives new life to steel.
“Case engraving is more than decoration, it’s a way to make metal speak. What began as a series of design exchanges over a year ago became a full creative partnership. Gravée Main is the result. It all started with a meeting, a conversation, a spark of shared vision. I showed Louis Erard what I was doing. They saw something raw and real in my work. They didn’t just want to use engraving as a visual decoration, they wanted to rethink the entire watch around it. Give it space. Let the steel speak.” – Maksym Shavlak
Métiers d’Art. Made accessible
With Gravée Main, Louis Erard once again expands its Métiers d’Art series, following launches in Grand Feu enamel, wood marquetry and guilloché. Two new techniques now make their debut at Geneva Watch Days: Gravée Main (hand engraved) and Fil d’Or (gold wire inlay). In a world where such skills are often reserved for collectors of inaccessible timepieces, Louis Erard continues to build bridges between craft and wearability, tradition and modernity, rarity and reach.

Some watchmakers count the hours. Van Cleef & Arpels turns them into poetry.
At Watches & Wonders 2025, the Maison brought together its two greatest strengths — mechanical mastery and storytelling — in a showcase that felt more like a dream than a product launch. Love, starlight, Parisian romance, and precious craftsmanship came together in a collection that didn’t just measure time, but made you feel it.
Pont des Amoureux: The Lovers’ Bridge
This year, the beating heart of the presentation was an expanded chapter in one of Van Cleef & Arpels’ most beloved tales — Pont des Amoureux.
Four new editions — Aube (dawn), Matinée (morning), Soirée (evening), and Clair de Lune (moonlight) — each capture a different moment in the day’s emotional arc.
On the dial, a man and a woman begin their journey from opposite ends of a Parisian bridge. Every hour brings them closer, until they meet for a kiss at noon and midnight. The movement behind this ballet is a double retrograde mechanism, but the effect is pure theatre. Collectors can also press a button to bring the moment to life on demand, because some love stories deserve to be replayed.
Even the bracelets play a part in the narrative — their gemstone gradients shifting in tone to reflect the changing light of the sky.
Lady Arpels Bal des Amoureux Automate: Dancing in the Moonlight
If Pont des Amoureux is a quiet anticipation, Lady Arpels Bal des Amoureux Automate is its celebration. The scene is a Parisian dance hall bathed in lantern light. A couple, hand in hand, begin a waltz.
At the touch of a button, they move — slowly, gracefully — until the dance ends with an embrace. Time is read in two star-shaped retrograde displays in the upper corners, leaving the central stage free for the lovers. The backdrop, crafted in layers of grisaille enamel and sculpted gold, has the depth and atmosphere of a painting. Available in white gold, with the option of diamond-set cases and straps, it is as much a jewel as it is a watch.
Automatons Beyond the Wrist
The Maison’s flair for animation isn’t confined to wristwatches. Two extraordinary automata brought an entirely different scale to the artistry.
Naissance de l’Amour — Cupid emerges from a feathered shell, his enamel wings beating as a melody plays. Made from materials like petrified wood, pink opal, and iron-eye stone, it’s a celebration of the first spark of love.
Planétarium Automaton — A miniature solar system in motion, with all eight planets orbiting a radiant sun at their true speeds. A shooting star marks the passing time while music underscores the celestial choreography.
When Jewellery Becomes Time
Van Cleef & Arpels also revisited two icons from its high jewellery archives:
Cadenas — First created in 1935, this padlock-shaped design returns in yellow gold, snow-set diamonds, and sapphire accents. Its discreet, slanted dial remains a hallmark for those who prefer to keep their time private.
Ruban Mystérieux — A flowing ribbon of gems, hiding a mystery-set dial beneath a 3.72-carat diamond. It’s jewellery first, watch second — yet both at once.
The Poetry of Time
For Van Cleef & Arpels, a watch is never just a watch. It’s a scene, a mood, a memory in motion. At Watches & Wonders 2025, the Maison showed us that precision is only half the magic. The other half is the ability to make a moment linger — to let you wear a love story, a starlit sky, or a ribbon of light on your wrist.
Because in the end, time is only as beautiful as the way we choose to tell it.
Chief Date Royal Purple –Favre Leuba Heritage, Elevated
Favre Leuba builds on the momentum of its celebrated 2024 revival of a 1970s icon with the Chief Date Royal Purple – bold, bright, and impossible to ignore.

Favre Leuba harnesses its chromatic richness not just for its visual impact, but for its symbolic heft. More than a reflection of inner strength, character, and purposeful elegance, Royal Purple becomes a declaration of intention and craft – qualities that have defined the Chief Date’s singular, enduring spirit from the outset, now reasserted and elevated in this striking new expression.
Radiance, Refined
The Chief Date Royal Purple’s dial commands attention, its dial shimmering with intensity from every angle. Favre Leuba’s signature high-relief hourglass motif anchors the design, while a sunburst finish catches the light, adding unexpected depth and dimension.
A polished, three-dimensional Favre Leuba monogram adds a sculptural accent to the dial’s precise geometry. Rhodium-plated hands glide above, their Super-LumiNova C1 X1 coating, ensuring crystal-clear legibility, day or night. At 3 o’clock, the neatly integrated date window delivers functionality without interrupting the dial’s harmony.
Form and Function in Balance
Beneath the showstopping dial, the Chief Date Royal Purple faithfully retains the clean, contemporary architecture that has always defined the Chief collection. It builds on the iconic 40 mm cushion-shaped stainless-steel case, with a harmonious interplay of polished and satin-brushed surfaces.
At just 10.81 mm thick, the case is thoughtfully proportioned for both wrist presence and everyday wearability.
Deeper within, yet fully visible through the sapphire caseback, beats the FLD03 automatic movement, engineered in partnership with La Joux-Perret. Robust and refined, this caliber delivers unwavering precision and reliability along with a 68-hour power reserve.

WHERE MYSTERY MEETS MASTERY: A HIGH HOROLOGY COMPLICATION THAT DEFIES PERCEPTION AND REDEFINES ENGINEERING.
The independent Swiss watchmaking Maison Ulysse Nardin unveils the BLAST [FREE WHEEL MAILLECHORT], an exclusive timepiece limited to just 50 pieces. This unconventional horological creation pushes the boundaries of traditional watchmaking, offering a bold fusion of mysterious design and groundbreaking mechanism.
At the heart of this horological masterpiece lies a series of unprecedented flying mechanisms. From the floating double-barrel system to the award-winning Ulysse Anchor Constant Escapement, the BLAST [FREE WHEEL MAILLECHORT] challenges the conventional and elevates precision engineering to new heights. Beneath the ultra-glass box, a dial crafted from Maillechort adds depth, evolving over time into a unique expression of character and craftsmanship.
TECHNOLOGY: FREE-FLOATING MECHANISM
At the heart of this edgy Haute Horlogerie complication, the unique and innovative UN-176 calibre seems to defy not only the laws of physics, but also the very principles of watchmaking construction. Perfecting this flying movement, entirely designed by the integrated Manufacture, required two years of research and development to Ulysse Nardin’s technical department.
The BLAST [FREE WHEEL MAILLECHORT] presents Ulysse Nardin’s award-winning flying tourbillon with the Ulysse Anchor
Constant Escapement. Composed of 45 components, the tourbillon is located at 6 o’clock and boasts a revolutionary constant escapement. Challenging the principle of the traditional anchor escapement, the Ulysse Anchor Constant
Escapement features a circular frame with a pallet fork fixed in the center, supported in space on two blade springs less than a quarter of the thickness of a hair in diameter. Mounted perpendicular to each other, these are subjected to a bending force that curves them and maintains them. This major technical achievement directed by Ulysse Nardin guarantees a perfectly even impulse on the balance wheel, irrespective of the watch’s power reserve. Thanks to silicon technology also incorporated in the hairspring and the escapement, the jewels of the usual escapement-wheel become superfluous, as does the anchor pivot. This exceptional tourbillon, which reflects Ulysse Nardin’s triumphs in terms of innovation, proudly won the Tourbillon Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2015.
At 12 o’clock, a floating double-barrel system is positioned, flying without any visible attachment on the surface. One barrel is fully exposed, while the other operates unseen. Precision ball bearings hold everything in perfect alignment. The energy it accumulates provides the timepiece with an exceptional autonomy of seven days, outlined by a highly original power reserve display at 4 o’clock. The indicator remains static, unlike the display disc: three bands opposing the indicator mean that the watch is fully wound, while a single band indicates that the power reserve is almost empty.
In addition, several additional flying mechanisms are displayed on either side of the barrel: on its left, an intermediate wheel, a power reserve differential, and a reduction gear; on its right, the winding mechanism that connects it to the crown’s winding stem, allowing the selection of the winding system train or the time setting.
DESIGN: A 360° VIEW INTO MECHANICAL MASTERY
The BLAST [FREE WHEEL MAILLECHORT] is a spectacular show. Its bold 45mm case, crafted in white gold, features negative angle facets designed using a complex laser method. Renowned for its disruptive aesthetic and ergonomic properties, this satin-finished and polished BLAST case once again proves the cutting-edge know-how of the independent Manufacture.
The geometric lines feature a unique ultra-glass box in sapphire crystal that offers a wide-open view of the mysterious movement, which is also visible through the sides. The distinctive characteristic of this glass box lies in its construction: it was carved from a single block of sapphire crystal, meticulously hollowed out to form the box and achieve this unparalleled shape.
Beneath the dome glass and the flying mechanism lies a dial crafted from Maillechort, a traditional alloy of copper, zinc, and nickel. Known for its warm, silvery tones and distinctive grained texture, it is prized for its durability and unique aesthetic.
More difficult to manufacture than brass due to its hardness and complex composition, it requires craftsmanship and precision. Historically used in musical instruments for its resonant acoustic properties, Maillechort is a “living metal” that develops a one-of-a-kind patina over time, adding character and depth. This material was invented in the early 19th century by French engineers Maillet and Chorier, whose combined names became “Maillechort”.
Underscoring the meticulous attention to detail in its design, the case back of the BLAST [FREE WHEEL MAILLECHORT] is open, featuring a sapphire glass and a Maillechort plate. This exclusive limited edition of 50 pieces features a blue velvet effect and waterproof rubber strap, with a white gold folding buckle.

Hublot’s Chromatic Ceramic in full bloom: introducing the Big Bang Unico and Big Bang One Click 33mm pair in Petrol Blue and Mint Green Ceramic.
There’s an undeniable allure when it comes to vividly coloured ceramics. Going where no watch brand has gone before and continuing to explore the full spectrum of its possibilities, Hublot once again demonstrates its unrivalled mastery of the material with two new colours, making their debut in two pairs of emblematic Big Bang models. Unisex in their appeal and inspired by fashionable yet timeless spring tones, these two new ceramic colours are complementary yet vastly different. Evocative, alluring and simply like nothing else out there.
Deep, warm and with just a hint of green, the Petrol Blue ceramic is unlike any other blue ceramic out there. Evoking the depths of the open seas and the calmness of verdant forests, it’s got just the right brightness to stand out and reflect its multitude of tones, yet subtle and chic enough to remain unostentatious and fit with many colours and styles. Its teal undertones bring about a sense of calm and composure, which explains why it has been adopted so fervently by designers and aesthetes.
True to its name, Mint Green ceramic takes on a pastel hue that’s bright and cool. One of the many shades of green in nature’s palette, mint green features a hint of blue that lends it a refreshing touch that exudes peace and tranquillity. A very popular tone this spring season, it brings light and calmness to any outfit or situation and can be easily matched with complementary colours.
These two new ceramic colours are being introduced across two models: the Big Bang Unico 42mm and the Big Bang One Click 33mm. Demonstrating the versatility of the Petrol Blue and Mint Green tones, these two iconic Big Bang silhouettes provide the perfect canvas. The more compact 42mm version of the Big Bang Unico, showcasing Hublot’s in-house developed and manufacture automatic chronograph calibre, and the Big Bang One Click 33mm, a symbol of femininity, creativity and independence with a diamond-set steel bezel. Petrol Blue and Mint Green ceramic also mark the first time that a Big Bang One Click 33mm model is crafted in ceramic.
Regardless of the model or colour, the tones of the Petrol Blue and Mint Green ceramics are matched by the rubber strap, which can be swapped on both the Big Bang Unico 42mm and Big Bang One Click 33mm using the quick strap-change system integrated into the case. The open dial of the Big Bang Unico and the solid dial of the Big Bang One Click 33mm also take on the same hues as their ceramic cases.
The Big Bang Unico 42mm and Big Bang One Click 33mm in both Blue Ceramic and Mint Green are a seasonal creation that’s limited in time, available from Hublot boutiques and authorized retailers.

With an impressive career spanning over 20 years, Erol Baliyan stands as a prominent figure in the world of luxury watchmaking. As the CEO of Franck Muller for the Middle East, Africa, and India, Erol has played a pivotal role in driving the brand’s regional growth and influence. He joined Franck Muller in 2003, bringing with him extensive expertise across a wide array of disciplines—including retail, distribution, logistics, finance, sales, and design—which together have shaped his holistic leadership style.
Erol opens up about his journey from his early days in the industry to his instrumental role in establishing the Dubai-based distribution hub, which today manages operations in more than 15 countries. Under his guidance, the brand has not only expanded its footprint but also deepened its presence in strategically vital markets.
Known for his pioneering mindset, Erol Baliyan has been a catalyst for innovation within Franck Muller. He holds a patent for integrating advanced technologies into traditional watchmaking, marking a significant breakthrough that aligns perfectly with the brand’s reputation for mechanical ingenuity and bold design. His efforts have redefined how Franck Muller approaches craftsmanship and technological fusion in haute horlogerie.
Beyond his professional achievements, Erol’s academic foundation adds further depth to his strategic approach. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Econometrics from Marmara University and a Master of Science in International Management from the University of Exeter, credentials that reflect his analytical and global business acumen.
Driven by passion, precision, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, Erol Baliyan continues to lead Franck Muller’s operations with a clear vision—delivering exceptional customer experiences, championing innovation, and nurturing the brand’s legacy in the ever-evolving landscape of luxury watches.
In an exclusive interview with EyesOnTime, Erol discusses the brand’s focused expansion in India, exclusive collections, and the evolving preferences of Indian watch collectors.
Q: How is Franck Muller evolving in the Indian luxury market? A: India has become one of our strongest growth stories. After a strategic restructuring five years ago, we’ve built a solid foundation. We now operate 12 points of sale and are planning to add 3–4 more in the near term. In terms of performance, we’re second only to Rolex in this market—proof that India is not just evolving, it’s responding powerfully to what we offer.
Q: What makes the Indian market so unique for Franck Muller? A: India is emotional, responsive, and highly attuned to craft. The more we invest in this market—through design, service, or engagement—the more it gives back. It’s not transactional; it’s a relationship. That fits perfectly with how we operate.
Q: Is there a collection made specifically for India? A: Yes, and we’re very proud of it. We’re about to unveil a limited-edition collection of 108 pieces, hand-engraved, designed with Indian collectors in mind. It’s been four months in the making—just the dial alone. The collection hasn’t even been officially announced, and it’s already sold out. That says everything about India’s appetite for meaningful artistry.
Q: What sets Franck Muller apart from other Swiss luxury watchmakers? A: Our identity is instantly recognizable. We trademarked the Cintrée Curvex case over 30 years ago—an iconic shape that became our design DNA. Our numerals, dial layouts, and complications are all distinct. When someone sees a Franck Muller, they know it’s a Franck Muller. That level of visual signature is rare in watchmaking.
Q: How strong is your after-sales and service presence in India? A: Very strong—and improving each year. We have a central service hub for India with dedicated sales support and technical teams. Every purchase comes with a 3-year warranty (5 years for complications), and we aim to respond quickly to any service needs. After-sales is critical in building trust, and we take it seriously.
Q: How do you maintain long-term relationships with collectors here? A: By staying close. We host clients regularly at our boutiques—not to sell, but to connect. We invite them to view novelties, talk trends, and just engage with the brand. It’s about creating an emotional bond. Collectors aren’t just looking for rare pieces; they want dialogue, discovery, and respect.
Q: What trends are you noticing in Indian collectors’ preferences? A: A definite shift toward more refined, complicated watches—tourbillons are gaining traction. There’s also growing demand for smaller, elegant timepieces, especially in our ladies’ collections. Collectors are craving uniqueness—different dials, rare materials, new forms. The industry has been recycling the same formulas for years. That fatigue is pushing people to look beyond the usual suspects—and they’re finding us.
Q: Any notable pieces recently acquired by Indian collectors? A: The Giga Tourbillon stands out. It’s a technical marvel with a 9-day power reserve and double barrel. We sold one in India recently. There are more unique pieces, but I’d have to check our records to name specifics. Still, it shows the market’s appetite for true haute horlogerie.
Q: How is Franck Muller approaching online retail in India? A: Carefully. E-commerce in luxury requires nuance. We’re already selling our Crypto Collection online, as it caters to a digital-first audience. We’re considering expanding online offerings— especially select ladies’ models—but only through official channels. Every online sale is backed by our full warranty and service network in India. But the experience must be curated, not diluted.
Q: How important is storytelling to Franck Muller’s identity? A: It’s everything. Every collection has a narrative. Take the Sfumato dial—it captures the texture and feeling like a twilight over Amalfi rooftops. Or our new CX Mineral collection, made from Jasper, Malachite, and Lapis—stones shaped by elemental pressure over time, like the stories we tell through our watches.
Q: Can you talk more about Franck Muller’s dial expertise? A: We are arguably one of the strongest in the industry when it comes to dials. We own our dial manufacturing and specialize in techniques like guilloché, enamel, and hand engraving. It’s a huge point of pride—and a big reason our watches look and feel different.
Q: Are there any upcoming celebrity or influencer partnerships in India? A: Yes, we’re actively exploring new collaborations. We’ve had success in the past and understand how influential celebrity culture is in India. You’ll see more of that very soon.
Q: What’s your view on Indian luxury watch media? A: It’s progressing well. But more can be done on both sides. Brands need to engage more proactively, and media should continue building deep, knowledgeable coverage. Consistent communication and shared vision will elevate the whole space.
Final Word:
Franck Muller’s story in India is just beginning—but the foundation is solid: distinctive design, strong relationships, and a respect for artistry that mirrors the spirit of Indian collectors. As the brand doubles down on presence, product, and personalization, it’s clear that India isn’t just a market—it’s a mission.
Breitling’s stylish sea watch gets a sun-soaked refresh – Its first since 2017 – with refined new proportions, ocean-ready elegance, and a salute to Hawaiian surf culture.
The Superocean Heritage is back – sharper, sleeker, and ready for a season of sun and surf. Breitling’s most elegant sea watch has been refined in all the right ways, balancing vintage style with breezy modern sophistication. Every detail has been fine-tuned, from the size assortment to the addition of the new B31 manufacture movement. With this refreshed design, Breitling is also rolling out a limited edition co-designed by surfing G.O.A.T. Kelly Slater and a sunglasses collaboration with Cutler and Gross, all of it made to move effortlessly between the waves and the waterfront.
The Superocean Heritage is no ordinary sea watch – it never was. When Breitling first launched it in 1957, it took a different tack from other dive watches of the era. The Ref. 1004 (a sleek time-only piece) and Ref. 807 (the world’s first dedicated dive chronograph) weren’t just about exploring the underwater world – they were about looking good doing it. The spear-and-arrow hands, anodized rotating bezel, and naturally sleek proportions made it a favourite of stylish adventurers who lived for the sea and the scene. Today, that philosophy is still at the core of the Superocean Heritage. It has the soul of the 1950s, but it’s designed for today.
Breitling CEO Georges Kern sums it up: “The Superocean Heritage is our most elegant sea watch, and this update is all about refinement. Every detail has been perfected – but the spirit stays the same. It’s about style at sea.” This refresh takes everything that made the Superocean Heritage distinctive and makes it even sharper. The collection includes a 42 mm chronograph, powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, the brand’s industry-leading timekeeping movement. The automatic models, in 44 mm, 42 mm, and 40 mm introduce the B31 movement, Breitling’s first exclusive three-hand manufacture caliber, newly launched in March. A further 36 mm houses the Caliber 10 automatic movement.
The collection’s color palette has been streamlined to a core of black, blue, and green, paired with a matching ceramic-inlayed bezel for next-level scratch resistance that will keep the watch looking new long into the future. Thinner, more integrated mesh-metal and mesh-rubber bracelets ensure a watertight fit against the case, complete with folding clasps for a seamless finish.
Other refinements enhance symmetry and proportion. Tone-on-tone subdials and a subtle date aperture at six o’clock create a balanced composition, while distinct hands – an arrow for hours, a spear for minutes – and pointed indexes maintain the at-a-glance readability that made the mid-century original essential for divers.
Select models introduce responsibly sourced 18k red-gold to the outer bezels, adding luster while preserving the collection’s sleek aesthetic. The versatile lineup also includes new 36 and 40 mm sizes, designed for those who prefer a trimmer diameter suited to a wide variety of wrists. The launch campaign brings the spirit of the new Superocean Heritage to life in full color – drawing on the sights, sounds, and surf culture of Hawaii. With its modern-retro flair, it channels the lush foliage, saturated tones, and sunlit energy that define the Aloha State.
For Kelly Slater, Hawaii used to be the dream. Now it’s home. With 11 world titles, 56 event wins, and three decades spent redefining the sport, Kelly Slater has gone beyond being a champion – he’s a force of nature. As he steps away from professional competition, Breitling is celebrating his extraordinary career with the Superocean Heritage B31 Automatic 40 Kelly Slater, a limited- edition watch infused with the Hawaiian surf culture that shaped him.
“From as early as I can remember, I dreamt of travelling to and living in Hawaii,”says Slater.“It was this far-off land of amazing waves, perfect weather, and the ultimate surfing lifestyle. After living here, I realized it’s much bigger than that. The people, the community, the nature, all so intertwined. The respect Hawaiians have for their land, people, and culture runs deep. It makes Hawaii even more special than what I dreamt of when I was a kid. And now I call it home.”
The dial features a foliage pattern, inspired by the light and shadows of a tropical canopy. The caseback is open, revealing the B31 movement, and its outer ring is engraved with “One of 500” and “Kelly Slater Limited Edition.” Available on a blue rubber mesh strap or stainless-steel mesh bracelet, the watch comes in a special presentation box, featuring the same Hawaiian floral motif, and includes a personal note from Slater himself. “Breitling has been with me for years,”says Slater.“This watch reflects everything I love – the ocean, nature, and the easygoing style I’ve always connected with.”
No summer look is complete without the perfect sunglasses, and Breitling has teamed up with Cutler and Gross, the independent British eyewear authority, to create a sunglass collection dedicated to the Superocean Heritage. The exclusive capsule – Breitling Eyewear by Cutler and Gross – incorporates the most striking features of the timepieces into their design.
The luminous lacquer-filled temple tips mirror the watch’s arrow hour hand, while the Milanese- engraved core wire and rivets echo the mesh bracelet. Breitling’s signature “Script B” appears on the hinge, with lenses in smoky shades of grey, blue, grey-pink, and green. Wearers can choose among four handcrafted styles, including clean-lined metal frames, sculpted eco-conscious cellulose acetate, and a sophisticated combination of both. Each model is also available in an edition featuring high-performance ZEISS LightPro® Technology and 18k red-gold-plated metalwork – a play on the red-gold hardware found on select models in the new Superocean Heritage assortment. The four styles are limited to an exclusive production of 500 frames each.
“This collaboration is about blending heritage with modern craftsmanship,” says Cutler and Gross CEO Jack Dooley.“The result is a collection that feels timeless and fresh at the same time.”Breitling CEO Georges Kern adds,“The Superocean Heritage now has the ideal companion – sleek Cutler and Gross sunglasses to match.”

THE FIRST MINUTE REPEATER IN THE OVERSEAS COLLECTION
HAUTE HORLOGERIE PROWESS
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Grand Complication Openface is the outcome of a long process to meet the challenge of integrating a grand complication mechanism into an elegant case. In addition to a tourbillon and a perpetual calendar, this movement incorporates a minute repeater, a first in the collection. Generally speaking, water resistance is difficult to achieve with minute repeater calibres due to the sliding mechanism in the case-side that activates the repeater. The challenge with this model was to ensure the water-resistance of the Overseas case, while adapting its lines to Calibre 2755 QP. This required a year and a half of research and development and involved a complete redesign of the caseback to create space for the minute repeater mechanism while maintaining the slender curves characteristic of Overseas watches. With a diameter of 44.5 mm and a height of 13.1 mm, the proportions of this new Overseas case deftly balance the collection’s adventurous character with a spirit of elegance.
AN EMBLEMATIC CALIBRE
One of Vacheron Constantin’s emblematic movements, Calibre 2755 QP benefits from developments made for the Tour de l’Île watch presented in 2005 and brings together three major horological complications. With its 602 components contained within a diameter of 33.30 mm, it incorporates a perpetual calendar with date, day, month and leap-year cycle indications. In addition to this calendar mechanism, which requires no correction before 2100 – a non-leap secular year – there is a minute repeater.
To govern the cadence of the repeater mechanism, which strikes the hours, quarters and minutes on demand, the Maison’s watchmakers developed a centripetal regulator, a proprietary device that allows the hammers to be struck at the precise intervals required to obtain the correct musical sequences. Totally silent, this regulator features two centrifugal weights that act as a motor brake on the axis of rotation, smoothing the flow of energy released by the repeater spring.
In keeping with Vacheron Constantin’s attention to detail, particular attention has been paid to the aesthetics of this governing device, which is visible through the sapphire caseback. An arc-shaped bar secures the regulator; crafted in 750/1000 gold its rounded form requires a full day of meticulous hand- polishing. Beneath it, the circular-grained inertia weights are engraved with the initials of Jean-Marc Vacheron, who founded the Maison in 1755.
AN EMBLEMATIC CALIBRE
The same high standards were applied to the finishing of the tourbillon bridges, which involved rounding the convex profile as well as tapering it towards the fixing screws, then hand- polishing each bridge to a perfect shine. Their architecture was also reviewed, particularly on the reverse side, where it has been made more open and visually lighter. This allows full appreciation of the tourbillon’s ballet, which is enhanced by the relatively slow tempo of 18,000 vibrations per hour (2.5 Hz). Commensurate with the complexity of Calibre 2755 QP, the movement finishes also include mirror-polished repeater hammers, bevelled and satin-brushed bridges, circular satin-brushed wheels, and bridges decorated with Côtes de Genève.
A SPORTY AND CONTEMPORARY AESTHETIC
With its grade 5 titanium case and integrated bracelet, the Overseas Grand Complication Openface watch remains true to the spirit of the collection. Its sporty, contemporary character is enhanced by the transparency of the sapphire dial, which reveals the beauty and complexity of the movement. Applied to the transparent sapphire, the 18-carat white gold hour-markers appear to be floating in space, amplifying the airy aesthetic.
To enhance legibility and create a dynamic contrast with the grey and silver tones of the movement components, the circles surrounding each of the time and calendar indications are treated with a blue metallised finish. The surface of each metallised circle is then engraved in white with the various indications – dates, days, months, years and minutes.
Viewed through the sapphire dial the avant-garde spirit of the watch is highlighted by the contrast between the anthracite grey hue of the NAC galvanic treatment on the bridges and the silvery tone of the rhodium-plated wheels. The mix of finishes on the case and bracelet amplifies the contemporary aesthetic with a visually captivating play of light and reflections. On the bezel, sandblasting combines with polishing and satin-brushing – a new signature for titanium-cased models in the Overseas collection. Like the other pieces in the collection, the model’s titanium bracelet, fitted with a comfort system, is interchangeable without tools and two additional straps – one in blue alligator, one in blue rubber – are offered with the watch.

After a demanding 24 hours covering 3988 km, Laurent Ferrier, François Servanin and François Trisconi crossed the finish line to take third place overall in the legendary Le Mans race. A real achievement for three amateur drivers. The friends received a trophy that day, as well as a gift: a watch. It was then that a bigger dream was born – that of creating a watchmaking company faithful to traditional values, passion and elegance. The very first foundational stone of the company that would be built many years later was laid on 10 June 1979.
Sport Auto 79
With this new edition of the Sport Auto, LAURENT FERRIER far transcends the simple reiteration of a timepiece. To mark the brand’s 15th anniversary, this Sport Auto 79 pays tribute to a timeless moment, an understated victory etched into history. That moment was the podium at the 1979 Le Mans 24 Hours. That victory – third place in the overall rankings – forever sealed the fate of the two founders and set in motion the watchmaking odyssey we know today.
This new Sport Auto 79 perpetuates a seminal memory and captures the essence of a trophy that was as unseen as it was decisive. In the end, it is the embodiment of a turning point in life, a transition from one passion to another.
EXQUISITELY DISCREET
The cream-coloured dial, with its opaline finish that imparts a powdery texture, is the result of a galvanic treatment that gives the surface a rose-silver hue. It reflects the gentleness and humility of the brand’s founders – these two former racing drivers – with regard to the third place they achieved in ’79.
“We’re not world champions”, as Laurent himself often likes to say.
To contrast with this understated dial, the livery of this new version is entirely in 5N red gold – including the case and bracelet. Composed of multiple intertwined curves, this architecture embodies every detail of this legendary race engraved in memory. The nobility of this metal evokes the precious nature of the real reward won that day, the courage to undertake the adventure of a lifetime.
The indexes and hands in 5N red gold are enhanced with white Super-LumiNova®. At 6 o’clock, a snailed small-second dial is accented by powder grey markers. As with the entire LAURENT FERRIER collection, legibility is key. It is optimised here by the minute track, which is also defined in powder grey. The logo and central cross match. A gently sloping bevelled date aperture, highlighted by a fine coordinated transfer, is delicately positioned at 3 o’clock. As with all the models in the same collection, “Sport Auto” appears as a tone-on-tone transfer positioned between the central hands and the small seconds.
STREAMLINED ELEGANCE
Inspired by the aerodynamics of racing cars, the design of the Sport Auto 79 is characterised by a skilful interplay of rounded curves and sinuous lines. Its case in 5N red gold measures 41.5 mm in diameter and comes with an integrated bracelet in the same material. On a tonneau-shaped case middle with rounded contours, Laurent Ferrier has subtly superimposed a bezel with softened shapes, recalling the cushion-shaped silhouette of the Square model.
Each side of the case benefits from a specific finishing treatment. The bezel features a circular satin-brushed finish, highlighted by mirror-polished sides, in contrast to the case middle with its vertical satin-brushed finish. The three-link metal bracelet follows this logic of alternation, with vertically satin-brushed surfaces enhanced by sloping mirror-polished sides. Harmoniously integrated into the case middle, the generous curvature of the iconic ball-shaped screw-down crown makes it easy to grip in order to start the automatic movement. This device is guaranteed water resistant to a depth of 120 metres, for optimum everyday comfort.
THE ART OF DETAIL
This Sport Auto model in 5N red gold features the LF270.01 movement, an automatic calibre with a micro-rotor, which was designed, decorated and assembled in the Geneva workshops. This robust and precise motor, inspired by the micro-rotor with natural escapement, is exquisitely finished by hand and is equipped with a 950 platinum oscillating weight. This micro-rotor features a laser engraved decoration which discreetly reveals numerical nods to the 1979 race – visible only to the most discerning eye.
In keeping with LAURENT FERRIER’s reputation for impeccable finishes, the movement showcases a true masterpiece of mechanical craftsmanship, which fans will be delighted to admire through the sapphire crystal case back. The entire movement reverberates with energy thanks to the bridges featuring subtle horizontal ruthenium-treated satin-brushed finishes.
A great many finishing stages are carried out by hand in the heart of the LF finishing workshop. Among them, the decoration of the rotor bridge stands out for its remarkable precision: the bevelling of the corners, polishing with gentian wood and diamond paste, and the mirror-polished surface finish or “brouillage” (a scratch-brushing technique) on the main plate side. In all, it takes 2 to 3 hours to complete all the finishing stages on this component alone. This expertise is also showcased throughout the movement’s components, with their highly complex interior angles, black zinc-polished surfaces, and ruthenium satin-brushed or circular-grained finishes — all orchestrated in-house in the manufacture’s workshops.
THE REWARD OF BOLD VISION
This timepiece is not just commemorating a race or a friendship. It evokes a prize, but it is not the one awarded on a podium, it is the one you award yourself when a desire takes shape, when a passion is sparked and finally comes to life.
The pure lines of the Sport Auto 79 echo a shared history of confidence, boldness and perseverance. And what if, in the end, we were not just celebrating the memory of a past achievement, but the reward for a personal accomplishment? An invitation to celebrate all those who are driven by their passion, to cross the line and make their dreams a reality…
