With the Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu All Black Pavé, Swiss tattoo artist Maxime Plescia-Buchi engraves Hublot’s distinctive codes in black ink, merging Hublot’s revolutionary All Black concept, debuted in 2006, with the signature barrel-shaped Spirit of Big Bang case.

This new All Black release marks the latest evolution of their joint creative journey since 2016. Hublot x Sang Bleu – since 2016 Hublot and Maxime Plescia-Buchi, founder of Sang Bleu, have brought tattoo artistry into the world of high horology, transforming tattoo art into wearable timepieces. Their partnership blends intricate geometric designs with Hublot’s technical craftsmanship and materials. Since their first collaboration in 2016, they
have released over a dozen designs, starting with the Big Bang Sang Bleu in 2016, followed by a second edition in 2019, and the Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu in 2023.

Hublot’s monochromatic All Black “invisible visibility” concept has revolutionized watch design since 2006, introducing a new approach where aesthetics take precedence over immediate readability. By removing color contrasts and emphasizing varying shades of black through innovative materials, textures, and shapes, this black-on-black design has become a striking expression of understated luxury for nearly two decades. The latest All Black comes in the Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu All Black Pavé. Limited to just 200 pieces, this edition features a 42mm polished black-plated case adorned with 180 black diamonds, totaling approximately 2.4 carats. Maxime Plescia-Buchi’s iconic tattoo artistry, defined by sharp lines and intricate geometric patterns, gives the watch its distinctive three-dimensional design. The engraved geometry flows from the case to the bezel, adding depth and texture.

Chronograph movement, the watch boasts a 50-hour power reserve. Paired with a black rubber strap and a black ceramic and titanium folding clasp. The Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu All Black Pavé will make its debut in China, three months ahead of its global release.

Faithful to Hublot’s ‘Art of Fusion’, the brilliant artist and designer Samuel Ross takes his creativity to new heights through considered and accomplished work involving a variety of materials and colours. This new edition of the Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A by Samuel Ross, presented during Miami Art Week, embodies this constantly evolving approach.

For 44 years, Hublot has been incessantly innovating, pushing the technical and aesthetic boundaries of its models. A subtle balance between watchmaking expertise and a vision of the future, Hublot timepieces are stunningly contemporary. This success has been made possible by cutting-edge research into materials and collaborations with some of the world’s leading artists and designers. Samuel Ross has spectacularly combined these two aspects.

Artist and Designer Samuel Ross has defined his perspective through the arts, through developing architecture for the body. Through founding both companies A-Cold-Wall***, since 2015, and SR_A since 2019, Ross has pioneered a signature design language that has translated to immersive, radical collaborations, developing and establishing a global, esteemed cult audience. This has been achieved by developing a new millennial perspective in luxury goods, the arts and fashion through his European atelier SR_A – co-founded in the same year he was awarded the Hublot Design Prize.

In 2020, to celebrate the watchmaker’s 40th anniversary, the artist unveiled the REFORM sculpture, which inspired the design of the Big Bang Tourbillon Samuel Ross, the first collaboration between Samuel Ross and Hublot on a timepiece. The model expresses the artist’s love of colour and geometry, and especially a shared passion for the ‘fusion’ of materials, one of the Hublot brand’s hallmarks.

This pioneering model led to the new Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A by Samuel Ross being unveiled during Miami Art Week. Having worked with shades of orange and green, the artist chose to redefine the materials used, while introducing a new chromatic variation based around the colour blue.

Retaining its 44 mm diameter and 13.75 mm thickness, the emblematic Big Bang case features a honeycomb pattern in a new grey finish that extends to the movement. Highlighted by a two-tone finish on the bezel—satin finish on the top and a shiny microblasted finish on the side—it is completed with hands and hour markers enhanced by two shades of blue, one dark and one light. The lighter shade also adorns the crown moulding. The 3 o’clock-9 o’clock flanks and the bezel lugs are made from a frosted grey carbon, while the dial is in sapphire. As with the two previous versions, the Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A by Samuel Ross is powered by the Manufacture calibre HUB6035, whose 264 components include a self-winding micro-rotor and, naturally, a skeleton tourbillon visible at 6 o’clock. The power reserve is 72 hours. The flexible rubber strap is finished in the dark blue already featured on the minute hand and hour markers and is perforated with the same honeycomb motif as the case. It can be adjusted thanks to a clasp that has also been redesigned.

Only 50 examples of this new Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A by Samuel Ross will be available for sale, each presented in a specially designed collector’s box.

Ross’s story to date

Ross has won numerous awards including Forbes 30 under 30, three British Fashion Awards, the GQ fashion award, the Hublot Design Prize, a Hon. Doctorate for his services to the arts, and an M.B.E for his services to Fashion in 2024.

Ross’ artworks and garments sit in the permanent collections of The Met, New York, and Victoria & Albert Museum, London. He has exhibited with White Cube and Friedman Benda. Ross’ long-term collaboration with the late Virgil Abloh is well documented, being his first design assistant.

Through his maison SR_A, Ross has pioneered a signature design language that has translated to immersive, bold partnerships establishing a global, esteemed cult audience. Ross is partnered with institutions including the Kings Trust and The Royal College of art, under the SR_A artists grants programme.

Ross also founded A-COLD-WALL* in 2015, the company was acquired in 2024.

Limited to just 50 pieces, the DEFY Extreme Jungle marks the third and final installment in ZENITH’s series of 1/100th of a second chronographs, inspired by extreme environments. Following the Desert and Glacier editions, this version draws inspiration from the untamed energy and captivating
mystery of the jungle.

Continuing in the rugged spirit of the DEFY Extreme line, ZENITH once again looks to wild, uncharted terrains for inspiration. Designed to withstand the harshest conditions— whether deep in the wilderness or the “concrete jungle” — the DEFY Extreme Jungle concludes a series of three evocative special editions featuring natural stones incorporated into the most robust 1/100th of a second chronograph ever made. The incorporation of such exotic gemstones into the complex case’s structure showcases a unique blend of creativity and technical mastery, adding a distinct flair while adhering to high-performance standards.

Crafted from brushed titanium, the light yet sturdy 45mm case of the DEFY Extreme. Jungle features a dodecagonal bezel and pusher protectors made from Tiger’s Eye. With its striking golden to brown hues, shifting reflections and a silky sheen, Tiger’s Eye belongs to the quartz family and has long been used in jewelry and ornamentation. Each watch is unique due to the natural variations in this rare stone. Its colour striations naturally evoke the enigmatic beauty of the tiger, a symbol of strength and mystique. Engineered for high performance, the case offers water resistance up to 20 ATM, making it suitable for the most extreme conditions.

The open sapphire dial reveals the intricate workings of the watch. Further evoking the jungle theme, it is tinted in green while the tiger-colored applied counters subtly mimic tiger stripes. These are complemented by beige luminescent markers and hands, ensuring optimal legibility in all conditions.

At the heart of the DEFY Extreme Jungle beats the automatic El Primero 9004 caliber. Partially visible through the dial and fully exposed via the exhibition case back, this high-frequency chronograph is an innovative evolution of ZENITH’s legendary movement. It remains the world’s fastest automatic chronograph in production, allowing for 1/100th of a second precision. This is achieved through two independent mechanisms, each with its own power source and regulating organ: one beating at 5Hz (36,000 vph) for timekeeping, and the other at 50Hz (360,000 vph) for the chronograph.  Taking advantage of the incredible speed of the latter, the chronograph seconds hand makes a full rotation every second, offering outstanding legibility of the 1/100th of a second display. This innovative movement showcases jungle-inspired finishing touches, with a khaki green main plate and a satin-brushed oscillating weight in the same hue.

The DEFY Extreme also features a practical interchangeable strap system, easily operated via push buttons on the back of the case. To enhance versatility, the Jungle Edition comes with three straps: a titanium bracelet, a khaki green embossed rubber strap with a

Hublot celebrates the 25th Anniversary of OpusX with a special edition Classic Fusion Chronograph.

A shared drive towards uncompromising excellence and a passion for enjoying the finer things to enhance life’s most precious moments. At the Arturo Fuente Cigar Factory, where the Fuente family has been crafting some of the world’s most sought-after cigars since 1912, Hublot and Carlito Fuente unveiled their latest collaborative timepiece that celebrates the 25th anniversary of OpusX, regarded by cigar aficionados as one of the finest and most delectable cigars in the world. In what has become a tradition after 12 years of friendship, Carlito Fuente saw the watch for the first time, among journalists and friends of the brand at the Fuente Factory.

Over the last thirty years, Chateau de la Fuente, the beautiful estate where the Fuente Family cultivates tobacco leaves and handcrafts its coveted Fuente Fuente OpusX (FFOX) cigars, Carlito Fuente decided to build the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, a much needed school and health program, as well as an art academy, for the local community. With the foundations of the Art Academy, laid in 2019 and which Hublot was humbled to take part in, children receive the best education and support, while also developing and nurturing local artistic talents. The Art Academy, which has already been operational for a while, was officially inaugurated on the special occasion of OpusX’s 25th anniversary.

With a celebratory theme of gold and green, the 6th special edition series was created by Hublot and inspired by the invaluable vision of Carlito Fuente, the creator of the world renowned Fuente Fuente OpusX luxury brand.

And yet, the Classic Fusion Chronograph Arturo Fuente King Gold is starkly different from all other editions that have come before. It marks the first time that a Fuente is done in a 42mm Classic Fusion Chronograph case, and the first with both the case and bezel in King Gold. It also features a laser-engraved motif of tobacco leaves but only on the bezel.

The dial is done an a vibrant emerald green tone with a sunray-patterned finish and a gradient “fumé” effect that darkens towards the edges, adding contrast and depth. The anniversary version of the OpusX logo in gold and green is emblazoned on the constant seconds counter at 3 o’clock. The dial’s green tone is perfectly matched with the alligator leather and rubber strap’s tone.

Hidden from plain sight as a special treat reserved just for the owner, the Classic Fusion Chronograph Arturo Fuente King Gold edition features an elaborate case back. Made in solid 18k King Gold, the case back is engraved and lacquered with a special OpusX 25th Anniversary artwork. Beneath it beats the HUB1153 automatic chronograph calibre, with a power reserve of 48 hours.

Such a radiant piece celebrating a significant milestone for one of the most cherished names in the world of premium cigars deserves a special presentation. The Classic Fusion Chronograph Arturo Fuente King Gold comes in a grand, green lacquered watch box that doubles as a cigar humidor, designed in collaboration with Manny Iriarte, long time creative partner.

The eye-catching copper-coloured mainplate in the Tribute2 – Copper Edition showcases a distinctive processing technique known as grattage. The process was originally developed by mechanical engineers to create perfectly flat surfaces. Instead of being engraved, hammered or polished, the material is meticulously scraped by hand. This results in a distinctive, stunning pattern – and it is an art form that only a handful of craftsmen still master today. For the mainplate of the Tribute2 – Copper Edition, this technique is used decoratively and gives each piece a look reminiscent of delicate brushstrokes. The mainplate and its unique finish are further accentuated by a copper-coloured PVD coating.

Depth and elegance in the dial

The off-centre fumé grey dial lends the watch additional depth with its subtle colour gradient, which sees the vibrant highlights in the centre gradually transition into a darker tone at the edges. The dial is encircled by a hand-polished steel ring, which is hand-bevelled and further emphasizes the refined character of the design. The hands and indexes, coated in 18K 5N rose gold, add warm accents and impart a sophisticated touch to the watch.

Meticulous hand finishing: each component refined down to the finest detail

The motor barrel, a key visual element of the Tribute models and a prominent feature on the front of the watch, is skeletonized in this edition. Each opening is hand-bevelled to accentuate the elegant spokes of the motor barrel. The bridge that holds the motor barrel is made of steel and black-polished by hand for the first time. The click bridge, which features polished bevels, and the click are also visible, along with the winding wheels, which have been finished with circular graining.

The back of the movement is distinguished by a three-quarter bridge visible through the case back, featuring a 30° hand-polished bevel, adorned with Geneva stripes and finished with circular graining. The small, three-dimensional escapement wheel bridge with hand-polished oil sink is another standout element of the movement.

The other parts of the movement are also exquisitely finished by hand, whether they can be seen on the dial side of the watch or through the sapphire crystal case back.

United by passion: Armin Strom and Horomariobro

The logo on the back, “Horomariobro x Armin Strom”, pays tribute to the inspiring contribution this close friend of the brand has made to the new edition. Fuelled by his enthusiasm for hand-decorated

movements, which he captures in macro photography on his popular Instagram channel, Horomariobro inspired Armin Strom’s Claude Greisler to experiment with new decoration techniques and emphasize various visible highlights of the finishing.

100-hour power reserve: the Tribute2’s innovative movement

The AMW21 hand-wound movement, developed and manufactured in-house by Armin Strom, boasts an impressive 100-hour power reserve. Its exceptional performance is down to the innovative motor barrel design, where the arbor rotates around the mainspring, enhancing efficiency and conserving space. The movement operates at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour and contains 21 jewels. It also features a balance wheel with variable inertia and a flat overcoil spring supported by a bridge that almost mirrors the motor barrel. These technical features ensure exceptional precision and reliability.

Modern design with timeless elegance

The 38 mm stainless steel case, measuring 9 mm in height, is an expression of timeless elegance. The crown positioned at 2 o’clock enhances wearing comfort and adds an avant-garde flair to the watch. A grey Alcantara calfskin strap rounds out the design of the watch, providing a soft yet secure fit on the wrist.
