LAUREATO CHRONOGRAPH ASTON MARTIN EDITION

Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux are both synonymous with creations that touch the soul, heighten emotions, and awaken the senses. Now, the British luxury marque and the Swiss Manufacture have designed a watch that will give the owner an experience rich in sensations.

The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition sports an exclusive feature: an iridescent dial created with automotive paint, inspired by the colours of British sports cars, which adorn Aston Martin’s iconic vehicles. Its creation required a brand-new and highly complex process.

The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition features a dial executed in an arresting shade of green.

A HISTORY OF ORCHESTRATING EMOTIONS

Enter the cockpit of a modern DB12 and everything is designed to heighten the intensity of the driving experience. Sight, sound, smell and touch; every facet of an Aston Martin is designed to orchestrate human emotionsand deliver an intense, singular ownership experience. Now, with this in mind, Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux have created a watch designed to arouse emotions and stimulate the human senses.

The new Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is optimally designed to thrill onlookers. Each facet of the vibrantly hued dial and lightweight multifaceted titanium bodywork engages with light, evincing a variety of shades.

IT’S GREEN BUT WITH A TWIST

The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition features a dial executed in an arresting shade of green. Created using a rare technology and employing much expertise, the dial is enlivened with an iridescent automotive paint, applied using an intricate process. Its fabrication involves 14 manufacturing steps alone, while the eye-catching hue is achieved by applying 15 ultrathin layers of paint to the dial surface and subjecting it to two cooking cycles to achieve the desired look. The tolerances involved in creating the paint for a watch are much smaller than those employed in the automotive sector and involve a protracted filtration method to eradicate any residual grains that could potentially mar the overall aesthetic.

Green has always been synonymous with British sportscars, adorning iconic Aston Martin cars on road and track over the years and being today the most popular colour choice amongst enthusiasts of the British marque. In this instance, Girard-Perregaux has reimagined an iridescent shade of green favoured by the car marque, creating a distinctive hue all of its own.

Endowed with a dynamic character, the dial subtly plays with light and appears to transition from green to orange when viewed from different angles. The dial’s appearance makes a bold statement, but then again the Laureato has always stood out from the crowd, captivating horophiles since 1975 with its masterful blend of shapes and finishes.

TITANIUM: LOW MASS AND HIGH PERFORMANCE

With a rich history of making high performance cars, Aston Martin clearly understands the importance of mitigating kerb weight. Over the years, it has created models using tubular fabrication methods as well as lightweight materials. The British marque’s know-how has seen it make strong, stiff (essential for handling) and light sports cars capable of delivering breathtaking performance. Likewise, Girard- Perregaux has also created several timepieces made of lightweight materials, including forged carbon. On this occasion, Grade 5 titanium has been selected for the new Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition. The metal is light, strong, stiff, corrosion resistant, non-magnetic and hypoallergenic; all useful attributes for
watchmaking.

Upholding Laureato tradition, the case and bracelet feature brushed and polished surfaces to deliver an alluring contrast. For example, the circular plinth, case facets, chronograph pushers as well as the central links of the bracelet are all presented in gleaming form.

BEHIND THE WHEEL

When sat behind the wheel of a high performance supercar, the driver should ‘feel at one’ with the vehicle. Ergonomics are important; all controls should fall to hand. The handling should inspire confidence and the instruments should be simple to interpret.

Likewise, the dial of the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition proves intuitive to read. It features skeletonised hands, inspired by the distinctive front grille found on the British marque’s cars, while the indexes and counters have been suffused with grey-toned PVD treatment, echoing the hue of the titanium case.

The hour and minute hands are partially openworked and collaborate with faceted applied batons. Both the hands and indexes are lined with white luminescent material and emit a green glow in dim light. Three snailed counters, namely, a 30-minute chronograph register, a 12- hour chronograph register and a small seconds display, punctuate the dial.

The central chronograph seconds hand features a black tip that reaches out to the minute track positioned on a flange fringing the dial. A date display, located between 4 and 5 o’clock, completes the inventory of functions. The GP name is presented in white text near the top of the dial with the brand’s logo positioned adjacent, presented in relief.

AN IMPRESSIVE POWERPLANT

At the heart of the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition ticks an in-house Manufacture movement, the GP03300 calibre. Visible via a sapphire caseback, bearing the Aston Martin logo, the movement is crafted at the company’s production facility in La Chaux-de-Fonds and is optimally shaped for the Laureato model.

“A self-winding movement, it features an oscillating weight adorned with circular Côtes de Genève motif.”

Additional movement refinements include straight Côtes de Genève on the bridges, bevelling, mirror-polished screws, circular graining on the main plate and engraved gilded text, all executed to the company’s no- compromise standards.

Breitling’s Timeless Legacy & Strategic Growth in India: An Exclusive Interview

As Breitling strengthens its position in the luxury watch industry, the brand’s commitment to heritage and innovation remains unwavering. With the Time Capsule Exhibition making its final stop in India, we had the opportunity to sit down with Paul Mulocher, Specialist, Breitling Heritage Team, and Pradeep Bhanot, Managing Director, Breitling India, for an in-depth conversation about Breitling’s legacy, innovations, and its expansion strategy in India.

A Journey Through Time with Paul Mulocher

We began our conversation with Paul, who greeted us warmly, his passion for Breitling evident from the start.

“Breitling has a rich 140-year history, but we have never had to reinvent ourselves,” he said, then he delved into the brand’s philosophy. “We stay true to our aviation, chronograph, and military roots while refining and innovating. Reinvention would imply breaking away from the past, but our strength is in maintaining continuity while evolving.”

As we explored Breitling’s groundbreaking innovations, Paul’s enthusiasm was infectious. “One of the biggest game-changers was in 1915 when we introduced the first independent chronograph pusher. Before that, all chronographs were controlled by the crown. We changed that forever. Then, in 1923, we developed the first double pusher, setting the standard for the modern chronograph layout. It was these kinds of advances that solidified our reputation for precision and functionality.”

He continued with excitement. “And then came the Navitimer in 1952. It became the ultimate pilot’s tool. Back then, pilots relied on mechanical flight computers, and the Navitimer allowed them to perform complex in-flight calculations. In a way, you could say it was the first smartwatch for aviators—long before smartwatches existed.”

Our discussion turned toward vintage Breitling pieces that collectors should keep an eye on. Paul, clearly an aficionado, spoke animatedly. “If you’re investing in Breitling, you have two approaches,” he explained. “Stick with the classics like the Navitimer and Superocean, which have steadily appreciated in value. Or look for hidden gems—watches with sub-dials at 6 and 12, for example. They’re extremely rare and not yet widely recognized.”

He smiled, recalling a few standout pieces. “The Reverse Panda Navitimer from the 1960s—worn by racing legends Jim Clark and Graham Hill—is one to watch. The Top Time from 1965, famously worn by James Bond in Thunderball, is another. And the first-generation Superocean from 1957? One of the most underrated dive watches of all time.”

Paul also highlighted Breitling’s commitment to engaging collectors. “We recently launched an annual vintage watch sale, a fantastic opportunity for collectors to own rare Breitling timepieces. Plus, our Then & Now pop-up museum in Zurich highlights how our past models inspire current collections. It’s a fascinating journey through time.”

Key take away: Follow Breitling’s heritage blog for expert insights.

Key Investment Pieces:
Vintage Navitimers – Prices are steadily rising, making them a low-risk investment.
Rare Breitling ModelsSuper Ocean (1957), Cosmonaute, celebrity-owned watches are increasing in value.
Unique Dial Layouts – Watches with rare chronograph placements are hidden gems in the investment world.

A few key milestones:

1915: First independent chronograph pusher – “Before Breitling, chronograph functions were controlled by the crown. Breitling changed that forever.”

1923: First double pusher – “This model defined the modern chronograph’s layout.”

1940s-50s: Cocktail watches – “An untold part of Breitling’s history, inspired by the founder’s love for fine jewelry.”

1952: Navitimer – “The first smartwatch. A pilot’s tool, enabling in-flight calculations.”

1960s: First diving chronograph with oxygen-consumption tracking – “A diver doesn’t need to track seconds but must know how much oxygen remains.”

1962 Cosmonaute—The first Swiss watch worn in space, even before the Omega Speedmaster landed on the Moon. It was developed for astronaut Scott Carpenter, featuring a 24-hour dial so he could distinguish between day and night while orbiting Earth.

The Growth of Breitling in India with Pradeep Bhanot

Switching gears, we spoke with Pradeep Bhanot, whose insight into Breitling’s expansion in India was equally compelling.

“India is one of the fastest-growing luxury watch markets,” Pradeep began, his voice full of conviction. “The median age here is just 28.1 years, and Millennials and Gen Z make up 40% of the population. These young consumers are fueling the demand for luxury watches. Collectors here are no longer just buying to own; they see watches as investment assets.”

When asked about Breitling’s retail strategy in India, Pradeep outlined the company’s ambitious plans. “Right now, we have four boutiques, but that’s just the start. We plan to expand to at least ten in the next two to three years. Our goal is to make Breitling the first choice for India’s rising class of collectors. While we are strengthening our presence in metros like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore, we’re also focusing on tier-2 cities, which have significant growth potential. We see a strong appetite for luxury watches beyond the major urban centers.”

The conversation turned to digital expansion. Would Breitling introduce online sales in India? Pradeep considered the question carefully before responding.

“Globally, we are e-commerce ready,” he nodded. “But in India, luxury watches are still very much a touch-and-feel purchase. The boutique experience is important. Unlike fashion, where customers are comfortable buying online, luxury watches require an emotional connection. That being said, the brand may explore local e-commerce partnerships in the future or may eventually launch our own e-commerce platform. It’s a balancing act between tradition and modern consumer habits.”

One of Breitling’s unique marketing strategies for India is its lack of celebrity endorsements. When asked why, Pradeep’s response was immediate.

“Breitling has a different philosophy. Every Breitling customer is our brand ambassador. Instead of relying on celebrity endorsements, we focus on engaging with real collectors and enthusiasts—people who genuinely appreciate craftsmanship. Their passion speaks louder than paid endorsements. Our brand is built on authenticity and legacy, and we want our customers to feel like they are a part of that journey.”

Key take away: For now, the focus remains on physical retail expansion and enhancing the in-store experience for our customers.

Looking Ahead: Breitling’s Future in India

With its deep-rooted heritage, investment-worthy timepieces, and ambitious expansion plans, Breitling is poised for long-term success in India.

“The luxury watch landscape in India is evolving, and Breitling is evolving with it,” Pradeep said, his confidence unwavering.

As our conversation drew to a close, Paul left us with a parting thought. “Breitling has so much to offer—both what you expect and what you don’t. If you love watches, come explore our legacy. It’s a fascinating world, and we are thrilled to share it with the growing community in India.”

With the Time Capsule Exhibition making its final stop in India, this is the perfect moment for collectors and watch enthusiasts to experience Breitling’s craftsmanship firsthand. The future looks bright for Breitling in India, and for watch lovers.

As Breitling continues its journey in India, one thing is clear: it is here to stay, innovate, and connect with collectors on a deeper level.

NEW ATTITUDE WATCH HALLMARK VIPER’S HEAD: CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER !

The French high watchmaking Manufacture Pequignet launches its Attitude hallmark viper’s head model, certified chronometer.

This watch is the first in the Attitude collection to receive the “hallmark viper’s head” certification, awarded by the prestigious Besançon Observatory. This distinction recognizes precision and reliability in watchmaking. Released in a limited series of 50 pieces, this remarkable new watch features an elegant and refined opaline dial.

FRENCH CHRONOMETER CERTIFICATION!

Precision enthusiasts are well acquainted with the Besançon Observatory, renowned for its expertise and excellence.

Established in 1897, it is the only French institution capable of certifying chronometer watches. More than just a mark of quality and precision, its hallmark validates a technical know-how close to perfection. This independent organization certifies watches in their entirety, including the movement.

The watches are examined over a period of fifteen days, in five positions and at three different temperatures. At the end of these tests, the candidates are awarded a “chronometric certification report.” Ultimately, the winners comply with the ISO 3159 standard, which defines the status of “balance-spring oscillator wristwatches.” As with the COSC, its Swiss counterpart, the deviation must remain between -4/+6 seconds per day.

The Besançon Observatory goes further by examining the entire watch: case, dial, and hands included. Comprehensive and rigorous, this certification takes into account the weight of the hands and the thermal expansion of the case. It guarantees optimal precision under real-life usage conditions.
7 criteria are evaluated:
• Average gait over 24 hours
• Average variation of gait across the 5 control positions
• Greatest variations in gait between the 5 control positions
• Difference in gait between horizontal and vertical positions
• Greatest variation in gait among the first 10 measurements
• Behavior at different temperatures (8°,23°,38°)
• Recovery of gait
Watches that meet these criteria receive the prestigious title of “chronometer” awarded by the Besançon Observatory. They are quite rare in the watchmaking landscape.

THE ALLIANCE OF ELEGANCE AND PRECISION

All in distinction with its polished case, the Attitude “hallmark with viper’s head” features an opaline dial of exceptional purity. It highlights its polished faceted indexes and hands in steel, offering optimal readability.

Great attention has been paid to the finishing touches of the Attitude, particularly its superb openworked relief oscillating mass, visible on the back of the watch. This model is equipped with a brown alligator strap.

THE “HALLMARK VIPER’S HEAD” A TRUE RECOGNITION FOR THE CALIBRE INITIAL®

Launched in 2021, the Attitude collection is powered by the Calibre Initial®, the third exceptional movement entirely designed and developed by the Manufacture in its workshops in Morteau. The Calibre Initial® has two international patents, notably for its instant date change system and its
winding mechanism. It features a central sweeping second hand and boasts a power reserve of 65 hours.

The unique tooth profile of its winding gear improves efficiency and reduces wear on its components. Its new patented date training system allows for the performance of the date disc’s passing time and enables adjustment regardless of the position of the hands. It is entirely made from components produced within an 80 km radius of Morteau and is 72% of French origin.

With the Atttitude “hallmark viper’s head” watch, the Pequignet Manufacture demonstrates the reliability and precision of its Calibre Initial® and reinforces its watchmaking excellence.

HUBLOT UNVEILS THE WORLD’S FIRST MULTICOLOR CERAMIC WATCH WITH THE BIG BANG UNICO MAGIC CERAMIC LIMITED EDITION

At Hublot, innovation takes on many forms. A driving force at the forward-looking manufacture, the need to ceaselessly push the limits and break boundaries to conjure astonishing creations and world-firsts is what keeps its creativity in perpetual overdrive.

After becoming an industry leader of a wide range of materials from coloured sapphire and vividly chromatic ceramic to inventing the world’s first scratch-resistant 18k gold alloy, today, Hublot unveils a true innovation that’s been several years in the making and unlike anything else: multi-coloured ceramic, dubbed “Magic Ceramic”.

For over 10 years, Hublot has been at the vanguard of developing and producing coloured ceramics, and remains the only watch manufacture capable of producing vibrantly coloured ceramics in-house. Thanks to the expertise of its R&D and Materials & Metallurgy teams, who take on the role of “alchemists of time” by conjuring things previously thought impossible, Hublot has accomplished what has long been considered a holy grail of ceramics. Nothing short of revolutionary, this achievement marks the beginning of a new world of creative possibilities and artistic expression and liberty.

More than just a simple layering of pigments, achieving multi-coloured ceramic requires innovative thinking and a deep understanding of ceramics and how colours are reproduced. While others have attempted to create multicoloured ceramics, none have come close to what Hublot has achieved.

Each pigment used for colour must go through different temperatures during the baking and moulding processes of the ceramic components. The challenge therefore lies in finding the perfect balance to obtain a homogeneous and flawless result – time and time again. Always leading and never following, Hublot’s new “Magic Ceramic” is born of a pending patent process and is making its debut in the Big Bang Unico Magic Ceramic, a limited edition of just 20 pieces that offers a glimpse of one of the countless possibilities that this innovation offers.

On this latest innovation by the Hublot manufacture, Director of R&D Mathias Buttet shared, “I feel an immense pride in seeing our team bring to life a material that perfectly embodies Hublot’s soul: a subtle blend of science, alchemy, and playful boldness. After more than four years of research, we have mastered the art of combining vivid, patented colors—a true technical feat. Thanks to the creativity and talent of our young engineers taking the lead, Hublot’s scientific approach and innovating spirit will continue to astonish.”

Intriguing, captivating and simply beyond reason or logic, the coloured ceramic looks like nothing else out there. In the Big Bang Unico Magic Ceramic, the bezel, crafted in dark grey ceramic, gives way to intense blue circles arranged in a seemingly random and organic pattern. Like a work of contemporary abstract or pop art, the way the circles are perfectly and seamlessly integrated within the rest of the ceramic is a testament to the ingenuity of the patent-pending process.

Within the Big Bang Unico Magic Ceramic beats the UNICO automatic flyback chronograph movement, conceived, developed and manufactured entirely within Hublot’s ateliers. It is finished in a grey tone matching the dominant tone of the multi-coloured ceramic. A full black lined rubber strap completes the look of this singular work of watchmaking-come-art. This combination of the manufacture’s first automatic in-house chronograph movement and its latest groundbreaking achievement in ceramic
brings Hublot’s vast range of know-how full circle.

The Big Bang Unico Magic Ceramic is a limited edition of 20 pieces that will go down in history as a world first, and marks the beginning of a new creative avenue for Hublot to explore to the fullest extent.

The future is bright… and multicolored.

LAURENT FERRIER: CLASSIC TRAVELLER GLOBE NIGHT BLUE

In 2016, LAURENT FERRIER unveiled a demonstration of its expertise in artistic crafts and visual balance with the Galet Traveller Globe Night Blue, featuring its first interpretation of our Earth by night. Today, to mark the brand’s 15th anniversary, Laurent has chosen to give a second life to this emblematic piece. The Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue now features a brand-new enamel dial.

A REIMAGINED DIAL

The 2016 edition was distinguished by an engraved white gold dial, where the oceans were adorned with translucent blue enamel, and the continents subtly enhanced with gold glitter. In 2025, engraving gives way to the art of miniature painting, with the continents cloaked in opaque blue enamel, elevated by more intense specks of enamelled gold, lending the whole piece a more refined and minimalist aesthetic.

The centre of the dial is adorned with a convex planisphere depicting the five continents in white gold, covered with blue enamel, and surrounded by a sea rendered in deep blue enamel. Crafted using the age-old champlevé technique, the main challenge lies in executing this enamelling on a three-dimensional surface. The centre of the dial, made out of gold, is convex in shape, allowing for the reproduction of the Earth’s globe and enhancing the central motif – the five continents. The world’s city lights as seen from space at night are hand-painted with touches of enamelled gold, enhancing the contrast with the darker oceans. In addition to exceptional craftsmanship, more than five different firing stages are required to complete this central part of the dial.

Hand-finished with a circular satin-brushed surface, the outer ring or hour circle in slate grey creates the impression of plunging towards the central sphere, accentuating the illusion of a raised globe, seemingly hovering above the dial. The three-dimensional aspect of the dial is further enhanced by the drop-shaped indices, whose tips extend beyond the circle, appearing to be suspended above the globe.

AN AESTHETIC DESIGNED TO ENHANCE LEGIBILITY

The Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue has been developed to combine practicality with the refined balance and aesthetic harmony of the timepiece, ensuring clarity and performance in all circumstances. As a contemporary timepiece designed for globetrotters, it offers a distinctive interpretation of the dual time zone function.

Discreetly integrated on the left side of the case, two perfectly symmetrical oblong pushers allow the local time, displayed by the central hour hand, to be adjusted. When changing time zones, this central hour hand can be moved forwards or backwards in one-hour increments with a simple press. The upper pusher advances the hand by one hour, while the lower pusher moves it back — without altering the position of the minute hand.

Beyond the quick adjustment of local time, the date displayed in the aperture at 3 o’clock automatically changes at midnight, adapting to different time zones without requiring any further intervention. The aperture at 9 o’clock retains the reference time (home time). Additionally, with its 24-hour display, the day and night distinction is instantly clear.

A HIGHLY RELIABLE MOVEMENT

The Classic Traveller is powered by the LF 230.02 automatic calibre, incorporating the dual time zone mechanism and date function. It features an automatic winding system with unidirectional pawl-fitted micro-rotor, enhanced by a double direct-impulse natural escapement. This escapement delivers two direct impulses to the balance with each oscillation, ensuring excellent efficiency and an impressive 72-hour power reserve.

CLASSIC AND REFINED FINISHES

The decoration and finishing of the movement are executed in the spirit of traditional haute horlogerie, combining finesse and artisanal expertise. The sapphire case-back of the Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue offers a view of this exceptional craftsmanship. In addition to rhodium-plated Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges and circular graining on the main plate, the movement features hand-bevelled edges and hand-polished screw heads. Similarly, the intricate hand-bevelled edges, particularly in the interior angles, exemplify the values of traditional watchmaking cherished by LAURENT FERRIER.

One of the most sought-after El Primero references ever made, the A3818 was introduced in 1971. Produced for a brief period in limited quantities, this model was a specific iteration of the tonneau-shaped reference A385, worn on an integrated ladder-style bracelet crafted by the legendary bracelet maker Gay Frères. It earned the nickname “Cover Girl” among vintage watch collectors after appearing on the cover of Manfred Rössler’s book ZENITH – Swiss Watchmaking Since 1865.

ONE STEP LIGHTER

In 2020 and 2022, ZENITH teamed up with Revolution to revive this elusive model, first in steel and later in titanium. In celebration of Revolution’s 20th anniversary, the third chapter of this collaboration takes it a step further by reimagining the original design and taut lines of its 37mm case in lightweight carbon composite. Known for its remarkable strength-to-weight ratio, carbon composite offers a high-tech appearance with its characteristic weave pattern. While the steel version weighed 110.6g and the titanium version 78.3g, the complete carbon ZENITH CHRONOMASTER Revival A3818 Cover Girl Carbon (case and bracelet) weighs a mere 60 grams.

Also crafted from carbon composite, the dial once again features the A3818’s distinctive “shark tooth” second track, paired with both tachymeter and pulsometer scales. The pulsometer scale spans the first 15 seconds, while the tachymeter indications are read over the remaining 45 seconds. Additionally, the dynamic black-and-white subdials create a striking contrast. The use of luminescent material enhances legibility in all conditions.

The black PVD titanium case-back with sapphire crystal provides a view of the El Primero 400 calibre. As a direct descendant of the original 1969 El Primero—the first automatic high-frequency integrated chronograph movement—it beats at a rate of 5 Hz (36,000 VpH), enabling tenth-of-a-second precision. Comprising 326 parts, it boasts a 50-hour power reserve.

The ZENITH CHRONOMASTER Revival A3818 Cover Girl Carbon is available in three distinct versions. The first, a limited edition of 150 pieces, features baton hour markers on its black carbon dial. The second, limited to 50 units, showcases Hindu-Arabic numerals. Both editions come with two straps: a black “carbon-effect” Velcro strap and a black embossed “ladder-effect” calfskin strap. These straps can be swapped in seconds without tools, thanks to quick-release spring bars.

The third and most exclusive version is limited to just 10 pieces. It combines a baton-hour-marker dial with the iconic “Gay Frères” ladder bracelet, crafted for the very first time in carbon composite.

The ZENITH CHRONOMASTER Revival A3818 Cover Girl Carbon limited editions are available from Revolution and ZENITH boutiques worldwide and select authorized retailers for Edition 1.

For our third collaboration with ZENITH, we have the incredible pleasure of presenting the first ever CHRONOMASTER Revival A3818 Cover Gir Carbon’ reimagined in a full carbon fibre construction, a material that embodies strength, lightness, and modernity. It’s our passionate tribute to one of the rarest El Primero watches. In today’s market, we wanted this collaboration to deliver more than just aesthetic appeal. It had to offer true revolutionary quality and value to collectors. The legendary ‘Cover Girl’, elevated with cutting edge carbon fibre, presents just that. We’re also thrilled to celebrate the launch of Revolution Arabia with a limited rendition of 50 pieces featuring a Hindu-Arabic dial, marking the newest addition to our international roster and our commitment to producing and publishing content in Arabic. Huge thanks to Benoît de Clerck, Romain Marietta and entire ZENITH team for their continued partnership since 2020.Wei Koh, founder of Revolution Magazine.

This is the ultimate “Cover Girl” you’ll want to call your own, a perfect fusion of vintage 1970s charm and cutting-edge futuristic design, wrapped in a striking carbon jacket. Our journey began with a tribute to the original steel “Cover Girl,” but over the years, our collaborations with our friends at Revolution have continually redefined the limits of lightness and innovation. These editions embody the shared ethos of ZENITH and Revolution: a passion for watches, a profound respect for their heritage, and a commitment to propelling them into the future. Here’s to 20 incredible years of Revolution and 160 remarkable years of ZENITH—cheers to many more milestones ahead!Romain Marietta, Chief Products Officer of ZENITH WATCHES.

TAG HEUER BECOMES FIRST EVER TITLE PARTNER OF THE GRAND PRIX DE MONACO

For the first time in the nearly 100-year history of the Grand Prix de Monaco, 2025 will witness the first time the race will have a title partner, with TAG Heuer proud to hold this special honour. In the 75th year of Formula 1, and as TAG Heuer returns as Official Timekeeper for the sport, it further reinforces the incredible connection between the famed Swiss watchmaker, the top-tier of motor racing and one of the most famous races on the calendar.

With a shared story interwoven across decades, Monaco and TAG Heuer are connected not only by the world of motorsport, but also the famed TAG Heuer Monaco collection and personalities that have made the race so famous. Monte-Carlo is referred to as the spiritual home of TAG Heuer, and the contemporary story is defined by the strong presence during F1 weekend, making it only natural for the race to now be known as the Formula 1 TAG Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco.

A Second Home

While the traditional watches of TAG Heuer are made in Switzerland, the company has become a cultural force taking on a global identity. With boutiques located around the world, ambassadors and advertising campaigns that can be seen in every city, and the presence in different sports across continents, there is only one place that the brand has a special connection to, Monaco.

Since the presence of drivers such as Jochen Rindt, Jo Siffert, Niki Lauda and Ronnie Peterson in the 1960s and 1970s who would become style icons and wore Heuer chronographs around the track, to the incredible rivalries and victories of Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna of the 1980s and 1990s who would dominate in Monaco at the wheel of TAG Heuer sponsored McLaren’s, TAG Heuer’s connection to the circuit on the Côte d’Azur is undeniable.

The late 1990s and 2000s would see Mika Häkkinen, David Coulthard, Kimi Räikkönen, and Lewis Hamilton victorious on the streets of Monaco all with TAG Heuer on their wrist as they took the top step of the podium. In recent years Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez have won against strong competition with TAG Heuer alongside them through the sponsorship of Oracle Red Bull Racing.

Elevating a Partnership

TAG Heuer has been a partner of the Automobile Club de Monaco since 2011, present at key moments through the Formula 1 weekend and at the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique. With this new relationship the story will be further reinforced through increased presence for TAG Heuer across all assets relating to the race, including significant trackside placement visible for those at the race on the streets of Monaco and on screens around the world.

A special logo has been created to celebrate this key moment in motorsport history and will be used across all touchpoints where TAG Heuer will be present. Another key element will be the iconic TAG Heuer Monaco clocks that will be displayed throughout the paddock, a new fixture for Formula 1 in 2025.

Beyond the Formula 1 race, TAG Heuer is excited to be continuing its connection to the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique as Official Timekeeper, with the next event taking place in 2026. As a new addition this year, TAG Heuer is also the partner of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique and this will continue as part of the multi-year deal with the Automobile Club de Monaco

“It has been a pleasure to work with such a celebrated watchmaker for nearly 15 years now, and our admiration and respect for TAG Heuer is reiterated through our new agreement to continue our wonderful relationship. As the watch synonymous with motorsport and the greatest drivers in the history of Formula 1, it is only natural that the Automobile Club de Monaco would choose to be indelibly connected with TAG Heuer.”, Maître Michel Boeri, President of the Automobile Club de Monaco.

“Monaco is truly our spiritual home, encapsulated much of what we stand for at TAG Heuer” said Antoine Pin, CEO of TAG Heuer. “The spirit of competition, the challenging street course that rewards those who show the greatest mental resilience and physical strength, a place where drivers push themselves to achieve their absolute best, we are honoured and delighted to renew our partnership with the Automobile Club de Monaco and extend our activities in the Principality with TAG Heuer being the first to hold this prestigious title.”

BVLGARI X MB&F SERPENTI

MB&F and Bvlgari are worlds apart, and yet they share an unexpected connection that gives birth to one-of-a-kind creations that challenge horological conventions.

Founded in 1884, Bvlgari is renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, innovative designs and rich heritage, combining Italian elegance with Swiss precision – materialised in iconic collections such as Serpenti, Octo Finissimo and Bvlgari Bvlgari.

MB&F (Maximilian Büsser & Friends) has redefined traditional watchmaking since 2005 by creating three-dimensional kinetic sculptures for the wrist: Horological Machines that are brought to life through collaboration with the brand’s “Friends” and are inspired by themes as diverse as science fiction, supercars and the animal kingdom.

Bvlgari x MB&F: not their first collaboration

In 2021, sparked by a chance encounter a few years earlier between Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, director of watchmaking creation at Bvlgari, and Maximilian Büsser, founder and creative director of MB&F, the two brands released a first collaboration: the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra. This collaboration brought the exuberant, colourful world of Bvlgari jewellery into MB&F’s Legacy Machines. After the success of that collaboration, the two friends naturally wondered, what next?

For this second collaboration, Fabrizio and Max chose to reinterpret one of Bvlgari’s most famous historical creations – Serpenti, which first appeared in Bvlgari’s creations in 1948 – bringing it into the very mechanical universe of MB&F haute-horlogerie. Combining the vision and expertise of these two creative forces, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti slithered into being…

Reimagining Serpenti – an emblem of eternal rebirth and bold metamorphosis – into a Horological Machine required a complete redevelopment of this historical piece, not only in terms of mechanical engineering and movement conception, but also in terms of case design and manufacturing. The Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti represents a unique creation, born from an inspired encounter and a shared vision, where calibre and design seamlessly enhance one another.

An intense design process

According to Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, the design aspects “were a pleasure to create”, perhaps giving the impression that this part of the process was relatively easy – but the hundreds of sketches and dozens of 3D-printed models attest otherwise. Contrary to a classic round case, which offers only a few dimensions to experiment with, the case of the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti could not be more complicated. Like an automobile, the view is radically different depending on whether you admire it from the front, the side, the top, the back… and all those views must be equally satisfying. Like a carefully-balanced equation with multiple variables, any adjustment to a particular angle or curve, although improving a certain view, can potentially destroy another. This resulted in countless iterations of the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti design.

Challenging case manufacturing

Once perfected aesthetically, the design then needed to be engineered and manufactured – and this generated a number of further challenges. The Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti case is all about curves, combined together to create a machining nightmare. The complex curves extend beyond the metal of the case to the five sapphire crystals, including the snake’s eyes and the multi-facetted rear section – all treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides and providing large openings on the movement. This combination of curved metals and sapphire crystals is not only extremely difficult to machine and finish, but also incredibly challenging to make water-resistant to 30 metres.

“At MB&F we specialize in ‘kinetic sculptures which give time’ so it was definitely our calling. Nevertheless, the biomorphic design of this watch created enormous challenges in terms of the case but also the movement,” shares Maximilian Büsser. “The intricate case is entirely machined with 5-axis 3D mills and holds the five sapphire crystals which were not only extremely complicated to make but equally challenging to fit due to the curved nature of the case and the desire for a water resistance of 30 meters”.

A complex movement that breaks horological conventions

Inside the complex case, an equally complex movement that breaks all traditional watchmaking conventions, conceived and developed in-house by MB&F. From the beginning, one of Fabrizio’s central ideas was to bring Serpenti to (mechanical) life by animating its eyes; this has been materialised as revolving hour and minute domes, the left dome making a full rotation in 12 hours and the right one in 60 minutes. The paper-thin domes are machined from solid aluminium to make them as light as possible, requiring innovative milling processes. Both are adorned with hand-applied Super-LumiNova, so that when darkness falls, the luminous gaze of the snake’s eyes persists.

The mechanical reptile’s brain is symbolised by the technically challenging, oversized 14mm flying balance wheel with four traditional regulating screws, beating at the traditional rate of 2.5Hz (18,000bph). It is firmly held in place thanks to a three-dimensional balance bridge bearing the two partners’ names. Separate crowns are actuated for winding and time-setting, incorporated in the rear lugs of the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti.

Flipping the Machine over reveals the power reserve indicator, along with some of the other 310 components of the hand-finished movement. MB&F is one of the few remaining brands to uphold artisanal manufacturing processes and to finish components by hand; an approach only possible when crafting a very limited number of watches per year (just under 400 in 2024). The watchmakers at MB&F can only craft and assemble six to eight Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti movements per month; the 99 pieces will require over a year to deliver.

Watchmaking experts who have been following MB&F will recognise some of the unconventional features of the movement. These are the result of expertise patiently developed across the more than 20 calibres created by MB&F since 2005 – in particular the manual-winding HM10 movement, although significant modifications were required to serve the sleek new Serpenti design.

Automotive touches

In addition to its obvious Serpenti origins, this unique new series reveals another source of inspiration for its two creators. Both Fabrizio and Max are car design enthusiasts and grew up with the same automotive references. Initially, there was no plan to incorporate automobile design codes into the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti, but there is no denying the influence that has seeped into this new creation: a case that resembles sleek automotive bodywork, a complex “stepped” sapphire crystal shaped like the flaps on the rear window of a sports car, crowns that could easily be mistaken for car wheels… The apparent portion of the movement also includes car engine-like components, including a grille with the famous hexagonal scale motif seen on previous Serpenti creations.

Three Limited Editions

There are three different versions to choose from, each limited to only 33 pieces. The first comes in a grade 5 titanium case with blue hour and minute domes. The second is housed in an 18K rose gold case and features piercing green eyes, and a third version is crafted from black PVD-coated stainless steel and comes alive with vibrant red eyes.

“This piece was a pleasure to design, but technically very challenging to produce,” says Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani. “The aim was to have a totally different vision. The snake is a magnificent object that appeals to many collectors. I think we succeeded in giving the Bvlgari serpent a new horizon. It is not just a feminine object linked to the brand’s DNA but, for the first time, a technical object that speaks to the Bvlgari aesthetic and showcases MB&F’s expertise. Like all good collaborations, it is a win-win project.”

MB&F and Bvlgari have come together to create a unique and groundbreaking snake that is sure to captivate watch collectors: with its striking design and innovative mechanical engineering, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti invites those who have long admired this mesmerizing creature from afar to finally embrace its power.

THE RADO DIASTAR ORIGINAL X TEJ CHAUHAN

The Rado DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan is exactly what you would anticipate from the second collaboration between the Master of Materials and the British superstar of industrial design. With its reimagined DiaStar Original case in yellow gold coloured PVD presented on a radical rubber strap, it is guaranteed to capture every eye in the room. As you would expect from a design from the ever-active vision of Tej Chauhan, it looks as if it could have been delivered to 2025 via a time machine (which is appropriate as the watch itself is a rather splendid time machine!).

From the beginning of the project, Tej Chauhan understood his mission: he was charged with reinterpreting the DiaStar Original, a Rado legend that created a sensation when it was first launched in April of 1962. That watch, with its unmistakable design, has lived up to Rado’s original goal: the creation of an accurate watch with enduring beauty. Tej respected the legacy of that timepiece but delivered an update of the icon that extends the legacy beautifully. Mission clearly accomplished! Let’s check out the details.

We’ve mentioned the Ceramos™ bezel, which is coated in yellow gold coloured PVD. The stainless steel case middle and the crown, which are also coated in yellow gold coloured PVD, extend the effect brilliantly. The polished dark grey PVD coated stainless steel case back is fitted with a sapphire crystal featuring the engraving “SPECIAL EDITION TEJ CHAUHAN”.

An alluring matt black dial is on proud display through the radial faceted sapphire crystal. A pleasing contrast to the complex watch face is offered by the printed minute track in silver and blue, the colours that are also used for the applied indexes at each five-minute interval. There is a sandblasted black gold coloured applied Rado logo and the word “Automatic” is printed in a silver colour. The brand’s much-loved moving anchor symbol, always a Rado fan favourite  is set against a black background.

The polished black gold coloured central hour and minute hands are treated with white Super-LumiNova®, and the seconds hand, in neon yellow paint, is another riveting high- light as it sweeps around the dial. A day-date window at the 3 o’clock position features Tej Chauhan’s proprietary font.

At the heart of the Rado DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan is Rado’s celebrated Calibre R764, an automatic movement that delivers a power reserve of 80 hours. Exceeding standard testing requirements, the watch is adjusted in five positions and its antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring helps to ensure outstanding timekeeping performance. The timepiece is water resistant to 10 bar (100 metres).

And about that strap: it could only have been designed by Tej Chauhan. Crafted from grey pillow-shaped rubber, it is secured by a polished dark grey PVD coated stainless steel extendable folding clasp. The polished yellow gold coloured cover and pushers, also designed by Tej Chauhan, are engraved “DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan”.

The Rado DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan is an update of a Rado classic that will appeal not only to long-time brand aficionados but to design enthusiasts. While it is distinguished by its radical design codes and, of course, the brand’s proprietary materials, it also offers extraordinary wearer comfort and durability thanks to the light weight of the yellow gold coloured PVD-coated Ceramos™ bezel and facetted sapphire crystal glass.

The Rado DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan is the product of a great watch brand working in close cooperation with the father of Emotive Industrial Design and the result is a time machine unlike any other.

Jaquet Droz Unveils a Masterpiece: The Bushidô Tourbillon Skelet Sapphire

A decade ago, Jaquet Droz turned its artistic gaze toward Japanese craftsmanship. Now, the brand revisits this rich tradition with an extraordinary creation—the Bushidô Tourbillon Skelet Sapphire. At its heart lies the iconic mask of the Japanese warrior, reimagined with artistic freedom while honoring its storied heritage. This singular masterpiece required over 200 hours of meticulous craftsmanship, engaging more than half a dozen artisans. True to Jaquet Droz’s legacy, it remains a one-of-a-kind creation.

If the dial is the face of a watch, what could be more fitting than to feature Japan’s most emblematic visage—the mask of the Bushi warrior? Known worldwide as the Samurai, these legendary figures have long straddled the line between myth and history. In Japan, masks are more than ornamental; they hold profound cultural significance, as seen in Noh and Kabuki theatre, with nearly 140 documented styles. However, the Bushidô mask (literally, “one who follows the way of the warrior”) is unique. It embodies the Samurai’s seven core values*, asserts authority, instills fear in adversaries, offers spiritual protection, and conveys reverence for elders. To achieve this, its design borrows from the deities and demons of Japanese lore.

Translating such cultural depth into a timepiece was no small feat. Jaquet Droz called upon its finest artisans—engravers, painters, sculptors, enamellers, and gem-setters—to craft a piece that delivers maximum visual impact.

At the forefront of this masterpiece is micro-sculpture, bringing the Bushidô mask to life in striking three-dimensionality. Encased entirely in sapphire, the watch creates the illusion of the mask resting directly on the wrist. This sapphire case is a marvel in itself—unlike most counterparts on the market, it is 100% Swiss Made, produced in La Chaux-de-Fonds, with no screws or inserts to obstruct the view of the movement and dial.

This unobstructed clarity reveals the mask’s exquisite details. While its primary surface is hand-painted, its horns are sculpted in translucent enamel. No part of the mask is flat—the red gold base is intaglio-engraved to accentuate the eyes, nose, and mouth, all outlined in gold. In a first for Jaquet Droz, Murano glass bead settings highlight the jade-green hues while fiery red accents echo in the two hand-painted hands.

Beneath the artistry, a sophisticated Manufacture calibre drives the Bushidô mask. The tourbillon at 12 o’clock is counterbalanced by the barrel at 6 o’clock, both visible from the caseback. A striking detail awaits on the reverse: the back of the mask is delicately hand-painted with sakura, or cherry blossoms—a rarity, as appliques are typically polished, not adorned.

Measuring 42mm with an 8-day power reserve, the Bushidô Tourbillon Skelet Sapphire encapsulates Jaquet Droz’s JD 8.0: A Disruptive Legacy philosophy. Bold in its sapphire skeletonized construction yet deeply reverent of Japanese heritage, this timepiece is a testament to both innovation and tradition—where art, history, and horology converge in an unparalleled masterpiece.

BIG BANG UNICO SAILING TEAM: HUBLOT SETS SAIL AGAIN

This limited edition of 100 pieces made from carbon fibre, like Alan Roura’s IMOCA, represents the fusion between the skipper, his racing craft, and the Hublot technology designed to optimise his performance.

This is a bold timepiece that goes back to Hublot’s maritime roots.Back in 2004, Hublot was a small independent brand when it first unveiled the Subaquaneus, its first technical watch designed for the sea: a timepiece from a maison whose connection to the ocean is reflected in its very name (Hublot is French for “porthole”).

Twenty years later, everything has changed. Hublot has become an integrated manufacture and one of the most disruptive brands on the market. While Research & Development is the driving force behind the brand’s watchmaking explorations, its love for the sea is as deep as ever, anchored even more firmly ever since Hublot has partnered with the Swiss professional sailor, Alan Roura.

Since 2022, the Swiss skipper has been sailing the seas, from the Route du Rhum and the Vendée Globe, to the Transat Jacques-Vabre and the Vendée-Arctique, with Hublot by his side. This intrepid sailor is ready to conquer the waves, sporting the very best in watchmaking technology on his wrist:

This exceptional timepiece is the new Big Bang Unico Sailing Team, produced as a limited edition of just 100 pieces. The timepiece is decked in the same black and yellow colours as Alan Roura’s IMOCA. This choice of colours is intentional, the black and yellow combination is a nod tothe black and gold that adorned the very first Hublot Classic Original of the 1980s. Combining yellow gold with a black rubber strap was a bold, unconventional move. The kind of daring that has built the Manufacture’s reputation for over 40 years.

Alan Roura is Swiss, Hublot is Swiss, the watch is Swiss Made: there is no doubt about their shared provenance. The Swiss origins of the sailor, his chronograph and his sponsor can be seen on his boat as well as on his watch: the same Swiss flag is embossed on the hull of the yacht and on the watch’s counter at 9 o’clock, bearing “SUI 7”, the sail number that identifies his IMOCA in ocean races.

Watchmaking and ocean racing are united by common values. They constantly strive to reach new heights: precision, robustness, design and performance. The Big Bang Hublot Sailing Team has all this and more. Like Alan Roura’s IMOCA, the timepiece wears a suit of polished carbon fibre armour, which incredibly robust and lightweight the choice of this material embodies the fusion between man and machine, between the skipper, his boat and his chronometer, essential for precision-timing his racing performance. Alan Roura’s Big Bang Unico Sailing Team captures the essence of the Hublot IMOCA with which he sails: a natural extension of his craft, worn on the wrist. The sailor, his watch and his racing craft become one.

With a diameter of 42 mm, this is a compact and sinewy creation. Its strap is made of fabric with an ultra- resistant black, one-piece polyurethane coating, the surface of which appears to be woven like a sail.

“HUBLOT” is features prominently across the strap, drawing its inspiration from the mainsail of the skipper’s IMOCA which sports this exact same name. Hublot’s logo – the brand’s stylistic signature, is like a flag flown at sea. The medium, the font, the colour and orientation are exactly the same on the watch as on the IMOCA, once again emphasising the total fusion between the two, and between the skipper and his sponsor. And the timepiece features a specially designed black ceramic folding clasp to anchor the chronometer to the wrist.

The heart of the piece features the very latest generation of the Unico Manufacture calibre, the HUB1280 self- winding chronograph. Boasting a power reserve of three days, 354 components and a rate of 4 Hz, it reveals its aesthetic signature – its iconic column wheel – at 6 o’clock, the design of which is reminiscent of the winches used by Alan Roura to trim his sails.

“This is the third year running that I’ve worked with Hublot. I’m impressed, as always, by their ability to constantly push their own limits. I have been sailing with a Big Bang Original since 2022, but this Unico Sailing Team is even lighter and more robust. In racing, everything comes down to precision and reliability. I need to be able to count on my equipment 200%. It’s the fusion of the skipper and his equipment that makes the difference.”
