MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System

The Manufacture’s tenth MP revisits the fundamentals of watchmaking: no dial, hands or oscillating weight, instead a roller display, a circular power reserve and an inclined tourbillon automatic winding by two linear weights. The announcement of a new Manufacture Piece (MP) is always eagerly awaited at Hublot. This MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System Titanium will be no exception. The piece is immediately arresting. With its rounded angles, sleek design and sapphire crystal of an unparalleled complexity, it houses a movement which is no less sophisticated. A fusion of form and substance. The mechanical and aesthetic power are inseparable – one of the key concepts guiding the MP collections. And at the point where they intersect, the Manufacture offers a bold reinvention of the classic watchmaking complications. These are avant-garde pieces which are resolutely disruptive in their movement, display and complications. But they are neither concepts nor exercises in style. Like all the other MPs, the MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System Titanium is a complete, accomplished and practical watch that will soon adorn the wrists of a select few collectors.

Big Bang Unico Saxem Green 

Hublot unveils the second shade of its revolutionary material, SAXEM. Closely allied to sapphire, SAXEM is equally resistant, yet offers even more luminosity. With cousins, you can tell they come from the same family but they do have distinctive differences. The same can be said for sapphire and SAXEM, their connection is clear as they come from the same Hublot lineage. The Manufacture in Nyon is credited with bringing them both into the 21st century, to the point of establishing them as hallmark materials. Even so, their profiles are quite distinct. Sapphire is made of aluminium oxide, to which metallic oxides are added to provide colour. In contrast, SAXEM is coloured with rare earth elements. Sapphire has a trigonal (three-sided) structure, while SAXEM has a cubic (four-sided) form. Chemical details? Maybe, but ever since Hublot established itself as an integrated Manufacture, R&D has been the key focus of its operations. Pop colours, an edgy design, outstanding mechanics, a skeleton tourbillon and a five-day power reserve: Hublot’s new collaboration with the artist is all about fusion, without compromise. From the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Orlinski to his sculptures, Orlinski’s pieces never go unnoticed. The watch emerges from a work of art. Or perhaps it’s the other way around? Hublot’s ‘Art of Fusion’ has never been more exquisitely expressed than through the brand’s collaboration with Richard Orlinski. The world’s best-selling French artist and the most innovative watchmaker of the last 20 years were destined for one another.The first is radiantly sunny, with its case, strap, bezel, hands and index all dressed in yellow. Its ‘beating heart’ is still the manually wound HUB6021. This movement is a favourite among brand connoisseurs. Its components, such as the crown and the six H-shaped screws around the bezel, appear suspended in space by black PVD skeleton bridges. Between 8 and 9 o’clock, the power reserve indicates the five-day capacity. At 6 o’clock, the tourbillon keeps the time ticking on. The 2022 Solargraph technology, initially in a 40mm carbon bezel model, expanded in 2023 with a titanium version. The 34mm size adds versatility while retaining key Aquaracer features: unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown, 200-meter water resistance, luminous markings, sapphire crystal, and a double safety clasp.

The new collection includes five dials featuring iconic Polar Blue and signature blue dials. Mother-of-pearl dials are introduced, adapting to Solargraph’s semi-transparency requirement. Luxury models with diamonds on indexes and bezels offer an elegant departure from traditional Solargraph design, capturing the sparkle of snowfall.

While maintaining historical design elements, such as ergonomic riders, the collection introduces trapezoidal shapes for both riders and indexes. The trapezoidal design, combined with diamonds, adds a refined and feminine touch.

Equipped with a solar quartz movement (Calibre TH50-01), the series provides time, date, and second-hand functionalities. The design emphasizes ergonomics, adjusting lug-to-lug distance for a compact fit. The slim profile, with a case thickness of 9.5mm, ensures comfort and style for various wrist sizes.

TAG Heuer’s Solargraph movement eliminates the need for battery changes, relying on sunlight or artificial light for recharging. TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph: Racing into Elegance

TAG Heuer introduced two new Carrera Chronograph models, combining heritage and modernity in a captivating teal-green monochrome look. Inspired by the iconic DATO layout, these timepieces pay homage to TAG Heuer’s rich racing heritage while embracing a vibrant future.

Launched in 1963, the TAG Heuer Carrera is a racing-inspired chronograph created by Jack Heuer and named after the Carrera Panamericana road race of the 1950s. Today, this iconic timepiece is recognized as a symbol of aspiration, achievement, and refined taste. Crafted in gold and steel, the TAG Heuer Carrera chronograph the Year of Dragon limited editions pay homage to the success embodied by the Chinese Dragon, which unmistakably parallels TAG Heuer’s Carrera success story. The steel version of the watch boasts a sunray-brushed silver dial while the gold version radiates with its sunraybrushed 18K 5N pink gold-plated dial. The Manero Peripheral Perpetual Calendar is an astonishing feat of horological mechanical engineering, displaying the leap year, date, day, month and moon phase in a small window and four subdials. China’s most significant cultural icon, the Dragon, takes centre stage in Bovet’s masterpiece, the Récital 26 Chapter Two. Far from Western fire-breathing monsters, the Chinese Dragon embodies benevolence and magical powers, symbolizing courage, confidence, and success. Born in the Year of the Dragon, individuals like John Lennon, Bruce Lee, and Martin Luther King Jr. are believed to inherit these remarkable traits. Integrating a solid 18K gold dragon into the award-winning timepiece presented unique challenges for BOVET. Amidst complications like the Hour and Minute domed Dial, World Time Hemispheric Dial, and the patented BOVET flying tourbillon, the Technical Office carefully delineated the Dragon’s space. A commissioned sculptor and in-house hand-engravers worked meticulously, taking 40-50 hours to craft intricate details, including eyes, scales, claws, and whiskers. A fiery-red ruby set into the eye adds a final touch to the hand-engraved sculpture.

Dragons, rooted in mythology and symbolizing unity, trace back over 5,000 years to China’s Neolithic Age. The Year of the Dragon in 2024, from February 10th to January 28th, 2025, is anticipated to bring luck and power. A tribute to endurance: Timekeeping crafted for the extreme

As the event’s Official Timekeeper since 2019, Rebellion Timepieces accompanies the competitors in the world’s most prestigious endurance race from start to finish. And, just like in previous editions, one-of-a-kind limited series are showcased a few hours before the 46th Dakar kicks off.

With 7,891 km of gravel-filled tracks and tons of sandy dunes, 778 drivers all categories combined, a 48-hour monster-marathon “chrono stage”… it goes without saying, the 46th Dakar programme lives up to its word! When it comes to hitting the finish line, riders will need to give it their all. From 5 to 19 January 2024, from AlUla, through Riyadh, then back to Yanbu, Rebellion Timepieces will be hellbent on recording their performances as they speed along dusty Saudi Arabian dirt-tracks and roads. As the legendary rally-raid’s Official Timekeeper for the 6th year in a row, the Swiss brand will be putting its expertise to work for the greatest adrenaline-boosting competition ever. At the end of the 12 stages, the winners will be presented with exclusive commemorative watches. For this Dakar edition, two unparalleled creations, in the shape of limited series boasting just 15 pieces, are powerfully infused with the Dakar spirit.

The Predator Chrono Dakar 2024

Incomparable, ambitious, uncompromising… in a nutshell, Rebellion-created watches with motorsport get-up-and-go! First up, the Predator Chrono Dakar 2024 conjures up the Rebel watchmakers’ undying passion for the Dakar. This piece spotlights the perfect high-tech and stylistic fusion of the race and cutting-edge watchmaking. Its exquisitely-sophisticated black DLC-dressed dial invites to take to the wheel and sprint off to adventure. Time data’s ever-so easy to read in this model’s openworked scenescape. Warm, sunny nuances echoing sandy desert hues stand out on the honeycomb-mesh design. The chronograph counters and sequential small seconds set off with dashes of red breathe life into a dynamic scenography where each component plays a leading role. The Super-LumiNova®-topped golden hands and markers heighten wearer-friendliness of the watch, imagined like a can’t-do-without instrument in the cockpit of a Dakar racer.

And, to underpin its sporty look even more, this edition comes complete with a Cordura® textile strap whose colour matches the tones that fashion Dakar’s desert panoramas.

All the time data, including the date, is accurately driven by a Swiss Made calibre. This self-winding movement delivers a power reserve of 48 hours when the timepiece isn’t being worn. The Predator 2.0 3 hands Dakar 2024

Just like all Rebellion Timepieces’ creations, the Predator 2.0 3 Hands Dakar 2024 embraces powerful design. On its awe-inspiring, honeycomb-patterned dial, XL-sized numerals 9 and 12 reign supreme with their sandy shade. This same vibrant colour graces the stylized markers, the date aperture and the trio of hour, minute and second hands, as well as the minute tracker running round the flange. This gold-on-black composition, bedecked with the Dakar logo, nestles in a 48 mm carbon case, waterproof to depths of 50 metres. This case hosts an ever-so accurate, sturdy Swiss Made self-winding movement (48 hours of power reserve).

Rebellion, when the race is the name of the game

For the 5th year in a row, the Rebel spirit hits the Dakar starting blocks with two Toyota Hilux T1+ flying high Rebellion Racing and its partners’ colours. Building on their experience gained edition after edition, two duos, aka Alexandre Pesci and Stephan Kuhni (#251), and Romain Dumas and Max Delfino (#231), once again intend to disrupt the long-held classification. Burning up the 46th Dakar tracks with passion isn’t an option.
