A Powerful Background

Born from the spirit of one of the most dangerous and celebrated races in motorsport history, the TAG Heuer Carrera collection was named by Jack Heuer after the Carrera Panamericana, an unforgiving test of speed and endurance across the Mexican landscape. It was a name chosen to represent adrenaline, resilience, and precision. From its earliest days, the TAG Heuer Carrera became a symbol of clarity in design and purpose in performance.

Decades later, that heritage continues to shape the direction of TAG Heuer’s most dynamic creations. Building on a new vision introduced in 2024, TAG Heuer continues to evolve the TAG Heuer Carrera Extreme Sport collection in 2025. This year’s launches expand the line’s functional and stylistic range with two bold statements: the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport Twin-Time and the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport in solid rose gold. TAG Heuer continues to push the limits of functional design with the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Twin Time, a bold travel companion built for those who live and move across time zones. This is the first time a GMT function has been brought into the TAG Heuer Carrera Extreme Sport line, and it arrives with a strong visual identity. Teal green is now firmly established as the defining color for GMT within the TAG Heuer Carrera collection, appearing prominently on
the rubber strap, central hand, across the dial accents, and on the openworked date disc featuring white Super-LumiNova® for improved legibility at night. The dial showcases the TH20-02 automatic chronograph GMT movement, which builds on TAG Heuer’s in-house chronograph legacy. Featuring a vertical clutch, column wheel, shield shaped rotor, and an extended 80-hour power reserve, it also offers bidirectional winding and comes with a five-year warranty.

A bold step in material design, the bezel evolves into a fully ceramic, two-tone construction, crafted for the first time at TAG Heuer from a single block of dual-colored ceramic. This rare and demanding process in watchmaking delivers a seamless surface with a sharp, clean transition between the two colors, combining elevated design with improved durability and increased robustness.

Designed for versatility, the case architecture is athletic yet refined. The hollowed-out flanks and sleek side profile create a lighter, more streamlined appearance while enhancing wrist comfort. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport in solid rose gold redefines what a sports chronograph can be. It retains the fundamental TAG Heuer racing codes while introducing unmistakably high-end materials and finishes. The rose gold case is sculpted with a dynamic mix of brushed and polished surfaces, catching and playing with light to emphasize the strong geometry of the TAG Heuer Carrera case. This refined treatment creates contrast and visual depth, underlining the power of the silhouette.

The openworked dial mirrors this approach. Key visual elements, from the hands and sub-counters to the flange and date disc, are all detailed in rose gold, creating a rich and unified composition. At its center sits the TAG Heuer shield, framed by the transparency effect that reveals the movement beneath.

At the heart of the watch is the TH20-00 automatic chronograph movement, developed in-house by TAG Heuer. This high-performance caliber features a vertical clutch and column wheel along with bidirectional automatic winding and an impressive 80-hour power reserve. The movement is finished with a shield-shaped rotor. The caseback is engraved with the Victory Wreath. The timepiece also comes with a five-year warranty.

TAG Heuer and Senna Brand celebrate Ayrton Senna with an exclusive limited edition tourbillon timepiece.

The extraordinary life and career of legendary Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna will be brought to life in the new Netflix series Senna premiering on November 29, 2024. As part of this commemoration, Swiss luxury timekeeper TAG Heuer, in collaboration with the Senna Brand, proudly launches the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon x Senna, a timepiece dedicated to Senna’s legendary prowess and honoring the 30th anniversary of his legacy.

Considered as one of the best drivers of all time, Ayrton Senna embodies the quest for excellence and performance. Thirty years after his passing, he continues to be one of the most iconic and recognized drivers in the world of motor racing. Fast, brilliant, and fearless, the Brazilian driver never stopped pushing himself beyond the limit.

As part of the celebration moment, Ayrton Senna is portrayed in the first fiction series ever. The six-episode Netflix series, starring TAG Heuer ambassador Gabriel Leone as Senna, offers a profound exploration of his journey from his early days in Brazil to his rise as one of Formula 1’s greatest drivers. Developed and produced with the support of Senna’s family, the series captures his biggest driving achievements, personal struggles, and relationships, concluding with the tragic accident at the San Marino Grand Prix.

The series also features heritage watches such as the TAG Heuer Senna S/EL Link Chronograph S25.706C, as part of the character’s wardrobe highlighting the continued relevance of Senna’s style and to ensure historical accuracy.

In conjunction with the series, TAG Heuer, in collaboration with the Senna Brand, proudly announces the release of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon x Senna, a dedication to the accomplishment of the driver whose name keeps on living.

The Story Between a Watch Manufacturer and a Driver

The collaboration between TAG Heuer and Ayrton Senna started in 1988, and, over the course of his career, the long-standing TAG Heuer ambassador redefined the word “drive” by breaking many records. At the time, the Brazilian dominated Formula 1, becoming World Champion in 1988, 1989 and 1991.

Reflecting on this history, TAG Heuer has since introduced numerous references that celebrate Senna’s legacy, including two chronograph tourbillons releases within the Carrera collection in 2018 and 2019. These timepieces have captured the hearts of collectors and motorsport enthusiasts alike.

To pay tribute to Ayrton’s talent, TAG Heuer continues its quest to create the perfect watch, one that the legendary driver would have loved to wear on his wrist.
