Swiss watchmaker Perrelet has partnered with Dubai-based IFL Watches to unveil the Weekend GMT Atlas, a striking limited edition that blends Swiss mechanical watchmaking with the artistry of hand-painted miniature dials. Limited to just 50 pieces worldwide, this exclusive release transforms the practical GMT complication into a visual tribute to travel, exploration, and craftsmanship.

A Dial Inspired by Exploration
At the heart of the Weekend GMT Atlas is a dial unlike any other in Perrelet’s collection. Designed exclusively for this collaboration, each dial is meticulously hand-painted by IFL Watches’ in-house artists, turning every watch into a unique work of wearable art.
Dominating the centre is a beautifully detailed compass rose, an enduring symbol of navigation that has guided explorers across seas for centuries. Surrounding it is a colourful panorama inspired by the world’s diverse landscapes and cultures.
The miniature artwork captures scenes of dolphins leaping through crystal-clear waters, lush tropical forests, majestic mountains, palm-lined coastlines, and the iconic pyramids of Egypt. Together, these elements celebrate the excitement of discovering new destinations while reflecting the purpose of a GMT watch: staying connected across different time zones.
Despite the artistic complexity, the dial remains highly legible. Slim baton hour markers are carefully positioned around the artwork, while the 24-hour GMT scale is displayed on a satin-finished blue ring surrounding the compass rose.
A dedicated GMT hand featuring a white triangular tip outlined in red allows the wearer to track home time at a glance, making the watch both visually captivating and genuinely practical for frequent travellers.
A discreet date window at 3 o’clock completes the display without disrupting the harmony of the hand-painted composition.

Inside the Weekend GMT Atlas beats Perrelet’s in-house automatic Calibre P-401, developed by SOPROD, another member of the Swiss watchmaking group owned by Miguel Rodríguez.
Operating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and delivering a 42-hour power reserve, the movement has been engineered to offer reliable everyday performance while supporting dual-time functionality.
The central hour and minute hands display local time, while the independently adjustable GMT hand tracks home time using the surrounding 24-hour scale. The complication is intuitive to operate, making it ideal for travellers crossing multiple time zones.
Turning the watch over reveals a screw-down caseback featuring a transparent porthole decorated with artwork that echoes the travel-inspired theme found on the dial. The caseback also displays the watch’s limited-edition numbering, while the sapphire opening offers a view of the movement’s refined finishing, including circular-grained bridges, sunray decorations, and a customised oscillating weight bearing the Perrelet logo.
