Hublot MP-17 Arsham Splash — The Art of Time in Motion

When art meets horology, time becomes fluid.

The Hublot MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire marks the next evolution of the brand’s creative collaboration with Daniel Arsham — American artist, sculptor, and Hublot Ambassador. Following the experimental MP-16 Arsham Droplet, this wrist-worn sculpture channels the beauty and movement of water, transforming timekeeping into an art form.

Sculpting Time Through the Art of Fusion

Hublot’s Art of Fusion has long been about blending materials, ideas, and worlds. The MP-17 takes that philosophy to a new dimension — merging Arsham’s “fictional archaeology” with Hublot’s modern mechanical mastery.

Every element — from its frosted sapphire bezel to its microblasted titanium case — celebrates transparency, structure, and motion. The splash-shaped dial opening represents a single moment of impact, forever suspended.

The Mechanics of Motion

Powered by the HUB1205 Manufacture Meca-10 movement, this hand-wound engine delivers a remarkable 10-day power reserve, visible through both the dial and caseback. Measuring 42mm across and just 15.35mm thick, it achieves sculptural balance and everyday wearability — a rare combination in Hublot’s MP series.

Green accents — Arsham’s signature tone — energize the hands, numerals, and power-reserve indicator, while the openworked dial reveals the intricate depth of the movement beneath.

The Fluidity of Time

Arsham once described his work as “collapsing time — you’re not quite sure if it’s an object from the past or the future.”

That tension defines the MP-17 Splash. The design blurs the boundaries between liquid and solid, past and present. It’s an exploration of time as a tangible medium — sculpted, contained, and in perpetual motion.

Edition of 99

Limited to just 99 pieces, the MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire stands as both collectible art and high watchmaking. It invites wearers — and viewers — to perceive time not as it passes, but as it flows.

“This collaboration explores the fluidity of time through a case inspired by the perfect geometry of a water droplet,” says Daniel Arsham. “Its transparent structure captures the clarity and motion of water — suspended, precise, and always in flux.”
